The Gang (1)

(This is awful. I couldn't even write the dialogue right and I changed Darry's personality. Sorry.)

I was heading home after a day of school with Pony, my brother, until some Socs started following both of us in their red Mustang.

"Pony, run." I tell him while trying to act as if I haven't noticed them so they keep thinking that none of us have seen them.

"What?" Pony asks, he's always so distracted.

I don't think that's a bad thing as Darry says, Pony has his own little world inside of his mind and that's something good, he can get away from the real world everytime he wants.

"Some Socs are following us." I notice how his eyes widen to the point that they seem like they were about to run away from they respective holes and I had to hold back a laugh. "We start running at the count of three, alright?"

"Alright."

"One...two...THREE!" Once I say it we start running to save our lives, literally.

We're just about to reach our house when the Socs caught us. I have to stop abruptly because one of them grabs me by my hair. I let out a yelp because of the surprise and pain.

"Let go of me, moron!" I start yelling as he yanks at my hair harder.

"Let her go! Y/N!" Ponyboy screams as he sees how the boy's treating me.

"It's okay Pony, I'm okay, calm down..." Just as I finish talking they throw him to the floor and start kicking him.

Not long after they did the same to me. Luckily I start hearing very familiar voices getting closer and I see how the Socs start running towards their car.

Someone picks me up and starts carrying me home, I just let my head rest on their chest. I don't bother to look who it is, as long as it's one of the guys I know I'm safe.

When I get home and the person sets me on the floor I realize that the one carrying me was Darry, my big brother. He's tough but at the same time very caring.

"What were you thinking by walking home from school alone? You know I don't like that, it's not safe." Darry starts telling us in front of the gang.

"Come on, Darry. Leave them alone, I'm sure that after this one they won't do it again." Sodapop says standing up for us, as always.

"Okay, I'll be making some dinner." Darry sighs and start walking towards the house.

I see someone smoking from the corner of my eyes and turn around to see who it is.

"Dally, aren't you supposed to be on the cooler?" I ask walking up to him.

"Yeah, but I got out earlier because of good conduct."

"Oh."

"Hey, Y/N." Steve and Two-bit get in the conversation.

"Yeah?"

"Your hair looks awful." Two-bit says and Steve punches him in the arm.

"Oh, shut up!"
