Darry always wants to be the strongest one of the brothers, but not because he wants to look tough or something, it's because he wants to give his brothers confidence, security, someone who they can go to and talk about their problems.
That's why now that Ponyboy's missing, probably with Johnny, he doesn't cry. And I know he wants to, but I also know that he won't do it because of Soda.
Everybody's at the Curtis' house; Steve, Two-bit, me, and, obviously, Sodapop and Darry. I've been Darry's girlfriend for a while, like nearly one year, and I've grown to love the whole Gang.
We were all talking and trying to distract ourselves from the situation until Darry stands up and goes to his room without saying anything.
"Y/N, could you go talk to him? I'm sure he won't tell me everything like he does with you." Soda says worried.
"Of course, I'll see you guys later." I say starting to walk towards Darry's room.
"Y/N?" I stop when Soda calls me again.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you."
"It's okay, I'll always be here for y'all..."
I reach Darry's room and knock on the door.
"Darry? You there?"
Once I finish talking the door opens and I see his red and puffy eyes.
"Oh, come 're, daddy bear." I say and he hugs me tightly.
"What if he doesn't come back? What if me promising Soda that Pony will come back it's in vain?"
"He'll come back, Darry, and Johnny will, too. I know they will and everything's going to be just fine. Now, let's give these boys something to eat, alright?" I say and he nods.
"I love you, Y/N."
"I love you, too."
Where are you, guys? We need you.
Another one *Dj Khaled's voice*.
Me writing angst? I can't believe it!
Let's face it, it ain't even that sad. I suck at writing angst. I don't think y'all are ever going to cry with me.
