Hopefully you like Harry's POV cause I'm gonna be writing in it a bit more.

Harry

I shifted uncomfortably on the small couch, my left leg swung over the back of the couch, dangling. I stretched out as I smelt bacon. Immediately I lifted my tired head and looked around, Adaline stood in the cramped kitchen, swaying back and forth lightly as she cooked the bacon on the stove.

I watched her as she moved around the kitchen, grabbing different things. She had basically put the whole kitchen together while I was sleeping. Looking around the entire room I noticed she had put most of the place together.

"Look who's awake." I heard her smooth voice call towards me.

"I'm surprised I slept through all your working. I could've helped." I sat up.

"You looked peaceful." She shrugged, returning to the food.

"Can I help with the food?" I offered, grabbing my shirt and pulling it over my head.

"You can help by taking a bath. I can smell you from here." She made a face as she looked back at me.

"Oh really?"

She only nodded, focusing her attention back to the food. I stared at her a bit longer before standing up and dragging myself to the door, grabbing a towel and extra clothes. I slipped on my boots before walking out the wooden door. I made my way to the river and stripped my clothes off. She was right. I smelt terrible. As I contemplated my hygiene I stepped into the cold river, shivers immediately racked through my body. I quickly washed myself and jumped out, drying off with the towel and pulling my new clothes on. I began tucking my shirt as the door swung open.

"Breakfast is ready." She called. Looking me up and down before briskly turning back into the house.

A smirk spread across my lips and I pulled on my socks and boots before walking back into the warm house.

Adaline was already sitting at the small table, waiting for me. I pulled out my chair and sat down, looking over the food. She had cooked eggs, bacon, and oats.

"Can't tell ya the last time I had a good breakfast." I grinned.

"I can only imagine." She laughed.

We said grace, and immediately began eating. The past 24 hours had left so many questions unanswered. I wanted to know everything Nathan had done to Adaline and her family. And why he was still trying to get to her. The thought of another man being as infatuated with Adaline as I was made my blood boil. Though I could also completely understand why. She was stunning in every way.

Her soft voice broke through my thoughts. "How does it taste?"

"Very very good. Thank you. You've spoiled me." I grinned as I set my silverware down, already having finished all my food.

"To really the least I could do Harry." The way she said my name easily was my favorite thing.

"How did you sleep?" I asked, genuinely interested.

"Good. It's always different sleeping in a room alone. I'm used to waking up in the morning with Felicite's foot in my face." She snickered.

"I can't imagine why you'd miss that." I laughed.

"Right?" She sighed, the smile on her face slowly fading.

I watched her intently before speaking. "Come on." I stood from my chair.

"Well let me clean up." She looked around at the table.

"We can do that later. Pull your shoes on." I grabbed my coat and pulled it in. Adaline looked unsure as she laced her boots up.
