yesterday the war raged,
today the white flag was waved
watch as the embers fall
like snow on christmas day
but for now,
we have negotiated a treaty
we're free,
but walking on eggshells
we're free,
in the confines of peace
but we're trapped,
being civil,
not saying what we want to
because whoever breaks the treaty,
gives the other the power
