"Hey there Lilly" I said and ruffled her hair while she giggled. She grabbed my hand and pulled me inside, while Sarah closed the door.

"Who's she? " asked Lilly as she looked at my friend from head to toe. "Oh how rude of me. This is my best friend Sarah. Sarah this is Lilly" I made the introductions. "Can I be your best friend too? " she asked with a hopeful look in her eyes.

"Sure thing Lilly. You can be both our best friends" said Sarah. "I like your hair Sarah. Can I call you Rainbow? " she asked innocently. I chuckled at how cute she was and Sarah nodded at her request.

"Hey Miranda, I'm in the kitchen" shouted Mrs. Gr- ummmm, I mean Samantha.... That's gonna take a lot of time getting used to. "Need any help?" I asked politely as I entered the kitchen.

"Not really. You girls just get yourself settled with Lilly" she said as she smiled at us. "Ok thanks" I said as Sarah and I went to the living room with Lilly and watched some cartoons.

"Hey mom, have you seen my... Shit" said Ashton as he came down the stairs shirtless with water dripping down his torso while wiping his hair with a towel.

I was staring at him and he was staring at me. Sarah nudged me and I brought my self back to reality. He hissed and mumbled some stuff to his self and walked pass us to the kitchen.

I returned my attention to Sponge Bob as Lilly snuggled into my side. "I didn't know she would be here so early" I heard him say from the kitchen. I know I shouldn't be eavesdropping but I couldn't help myself.

"Don't be rude Ashton. It's not even that early. Go get dressed" she said. "I'm not staying here. I'm going out" he said and I saw him come back into the living room and go upstairs. A few moments after he reappeared in the midst of putting on a shirt and he exited the house. Slamming the door behind him.

"I'm sorry about that girl, Ashton can be a drama queen sometimes. Lilly go wash your hands and go yo the dining room. Girls follow me" said Samantha. We got up to follow her into the kitchen.

Sarah and I washed our hands and grabbed a few things from the counter and brought them to the dining room where Lilly sat, bouncing happily in her seat.

The dining room was lovely, with a crystal chandelier hanging above the dark chestnut wood dining table set.

We all sat down and there was an empty place mat, previously belonging to Ashton. "I guess this is girls night, huh girls" said Samantha with a broad grin. We smiled politely as we started to serve ourselves.

There were dinner rolls, baked chicken, mashed potatoes and rice. I helped myself to all of the above except the rice and poured some Orange juice. The mashed potato was buttery goodness and I was in love with the baked chicken.

"This tastes great Samantha" I said after I took a sip of my OJ. "Sure does, best mashed potatoes I've ever tasted" said Sarah. "Thanks a lot girls. Ashton loves it when I make mashed potatoes, his loss" she said with a chuckle.

After our meal we helped with the dishes and listened as Samantha talked lovingly about her children. She spoke about Ashton as if he was the best child ever, yet he behaves as if he is the badass.

We go to the living room with Lilly as Samantha takes a call. "Hey girls, do you mind watching Lilly for me until I get back? I know it's a school night but I would really appreciate it" she says. I look at Sarah and she refuses, while apologizing saying that she has family over.

"Sure thing Samantha, I'd love to" I say as I look at a happy Lilly, bouncing about and singing to the theme song of the Loud House. "It may be a while, I may not be back till Saturday" she says sadly. "Oh" I said. "Friday's her birthday" said Sarah with a frown.

"Oh how wonderful. You're welcome to come over if you like Sarah. This means a lot to me. I will make it up to you for your birthday. I promise" says Samantha.

"I'm gonna go get ready to leave. In the meanwhile you guys can go get your stuff" said Samantha as she ran up the stairs.

"What have I gotten myself into?" I asked myself. Sarah just chuckled and said come on.

After I packed 3 large bags with clothes and necessities I was on my way back to Samantha's house.

I knocked and she opened the door. She was wearing a dark blue dress that hugged her body. Not in a slutty way, just nicely. I waved goodbye to Sarah as she left, because it was getting a bit late.

I closed the door behind me. "Ok, so your room is the third door on the right upstairs. It has a bathroom and the kitchen is fully stocked but if you need anything you can take this" she said as she handed me a black credit card. Woah!  I didn't notice that Ashton was this rich. I knew he wasn't poor but not this rich.

She wrote down necessary information on a paper and gave it to me. "Thanks again Miranda, you're an angel sent from heaven" she said as she hugged me. I laughed at her comment but hugged her back none the less.

"Lilly is already in bed so you have the rest of the evening to yourself " she said. "Bye" and she left.

I brought my stuff up to the room in which she instructed me. After I put he stuff down u went back to the kitchen and drank some water. Upon inspecting the pantry I saw a variety of stuff to choose from. I got myself a bad of chips and went to the living room.

I started watching reruns of The Vampire Diaries and soon after I fell asleep in the couch.
