(Arthit's Childhood Home)

Arthit's POV

"Mae, I'm going out!" I yelled loudly while tumbling down the stairs as fast as I can.

"Oon! What did I tell you about running in the house. Don't lose your manners just because we're out of the palace" she yells back just as loudly while coming out of her room.

" Yes, Mae" I answer, impatiently but slowly coming down the second half of the stairs.

She ruffles my hair and says, "Don't stay out too late" while giving me the lunch she made us earlier and a kiss on my cheek.

"Ok Mae. Bye!" I go out the door while smothering my excitement and the urge to run.

However, as soon as I hear the front door closing, I run as fast as I can towards the green field with a huge smile on my face. It's been so long since I have seen him as he went to Bangkok during his school holiday.

As I was about to turn onto the road that led to the field, a car beeps behind me. I turn around and see that it's P'Leo (code name Mike), our bodyguard. "Hey Oon. Where are you heading?" I excitedly answer him "Kong came back today and he's waiting for me at the Green Field".

"You two have become quite close huh, these last three years" He says with an odd tome. Confused at his solemn expression and the weird tone he just used but thinking that it's probably because he thinks I'll reveal our secret like always, I quickly whisper in English just in case "Kong's a nice person Mike. Besides, don't worry. I am very careful and like I promised mom, no matter how much I like him, for the safety of everyone, I won't say anything". He ruffles my hair and says, "Thank you Oon, unlike many other young masters, you definitely make my life easier". Blushing at the compliment, I wave him bye and quickly continue running towards my goal. As soon as I near the grid that encloses the field, I spot a boy in a simple white shirt and kaki shorts simply staring at the fields.

It's Kong.

Since the very first time I met him here six years ago until now, merely looking at him calmed me, merely talking to him excited me and spending time with him gave me a whole new motivation to get up and get out of my room every day.

And since that day a year ago when he opened up to me for the first time with something really personal and told me that his parents were actually divorced and so I also opened up to him and told him that my dad was actually dead, we broke a wall and became even closer, spending all our free time (besides my homeschooling and his actual schoolwork) talking about everything and anything, except those other secrets that we dared not pronounce. Before I knew it, Kong became a daily necessity in my life.

"Kong!" I yelled out.

He turned towards me. With a huge smile on his face.

Just by looking at his face, I knew my day was made.

But if I knew this was the last time I was seeing him, perhaps I would have looked a little longer. Memorized his face and expressions a little more in my heart.

Perhaps I would have done something a bit different, as even that young, I was becoming aware that my feelings for the boy with the smirk could only be described as something special.

Note: I made an edit in this chapter as I mistakenly wrote KongPob's full name in Arthit point of view. At this point, Arthit only knows him as Kong.
