Arthit POV
Despite my warnings, Kong is still adoringly staring at me...so much that even I can tell.
Feeling exceptionally elated at the fact, although I'll never tell him that, fearing that his ego, something I realized was huge these last few days, would get even bigger, I walk towards him after getting my food with my 'stop looking at me glare' although everything in me wants to shout 'keep fucking staring at me like that'.
I push that urge down as we near the table where they're seated, and almost everyone is looking at us in anticipation due to what happened at the orientation get together last monday.
"Arthit, please stop looking like you're really considering doing some serious damage to the sophomore" Toota pleads, "you're going to make the 'nice' little reputation that we have tried to build up since we got here crumble to the floor" he says pitifully.
Agreeing with Toota, Bright adds even more dramatically with his hand over his heart, slightly angling his head in a pleading way "People were already too afraid to approach us due to our parents. And I'm not even talking about getting laid here, even to have a stranger say a simple 'hello' to me seems like hell to them. Please be more considerate of me".
Rolling his eyes, Knott says "Serves you right. You made the last freshman you dated so obsessed with you that after your breakup, he had to go to rehab. Poor Rome"
"Hey! That wasn't my fault. I can't help being wayy too lovable" Bright says defensively but with a tinge of guilt as we all know that ..that particular situation was caused not by his 'lovableness' but the mind games he was playing and wanted to win at all costs.
Glancing at him in extreme disappointment, we all shake our heads at him just as we arrive at the table where Kong (who's still staring at me) and his friends are seated with me in the lead.
Seeming stupified, and unaware of how they should greet me, his group of friends get up in a range of "Sawadee-krup P'Arthit" with a wai to 'Good-afternoon P' with a wai and even a 'Greetings, your highness' with a bow from a certain short girl.
"Oi! You don't have to greet me like that!" I say, uncomfortable with the sudden spotlight while urging Kong to scoot over so I can seat next to him.
"And you don't have to get up to greet him either. He's not royalty or anythin--" Bright pauses at Knott's tump against the back of his head "-okay, actually he is royalty, but you don't have to get up to greet his lazy ass"
Astonished at how Bright was addressing me, the sophomores don't even dare nod, and simply sit at my urging "Please do sit. Everyone is already staring, let's not give them more of a show. And a simple 'hello' is more than enough next time"
"Look at him prentending to be sophisticated" Toota points out to Bright with them both staring at me in mock dissapointment "Don't give them false hopes on how their future King is really like...But I guess they'll find out soon enough" Bright adds in contemplation after a small pause, shrugging his shoulders
Ignoring them, I glance at Kong who just discreetly placed his hand on my upper thigh under the table, a wide smile on his fucking handsome face. With a slight glare at his boldness, I begrudgingly ask "How are you feeling?"
"Better, P. I have never gotten over a flu so fast" he responds. And then coming a bit closer with a completely innocent face, "it's probably because of all the cuddling you gave me yesterday...so Oon, thank you and we should definetly do it more often" he whispers just for the two of us.
With a blush creeping on my cheeks, I push the arrogant handsome bastard away with a gentle shove, to which he simply laughs at (to both the relief and dissapoint of the people in the room).
