Faye
~Three Months Later~
"God damn it, Faye..pull it together!!" I told myself as I stitched myself up. The damn fence. I ended up jumping it and cutting my leg, and now here I sat, on a Walgreen's counter, using a sewing kit to give myself stitches because I insisted on going on a run with the new girl.
"Fuck!!" I screamed and threw my head back. The walkers trying to break through the small glass that kept me from them. "Last... One.." I managed before tieing it off and taking a deep breath and going to stand up, before screaming and nearly face planting. Clementine helped me sit on the counter again."Come on Faye, we need to go back. You need a real doctor." The girl said. "Your not my fucking mother are you?" I snapped. "Yes... And no." The girl said, a crooked smile. "Damn it, Clem."
"Come on. I've done it to myself, you big baby." Clem responded, her voice was steady. "I... I'm just happy we found it." I shook my head. "Me too."Clem shifted the hat on my head. "Good, because if we didn't I don't think he'd trust me again." I felt like an idiot for taking it after he told me not to, but I never thought that jumping would knock it off that easily. "We got it, it's not like it almost cost your life or anything." Clem and I laughed, and I held the hat close.~30 minutes ago~
"Hey Clem," I said, we were in the middle of the woods, surrounded by walkers. "a plan would be great right now!" Clem panted her hands on her knees. "I'm thinking, I'm thinking!" I looked around scanning out surroundings. "Think faster, please!" Walkers were closing in on us, and we needed to go, now."There, the fence. Jump it!" Clem pointed to the fence that led to the back way of a Walgreen's parking lot. Clem ran up and jumped it successfully, I ran quickly behind her and make it to the top of the fence, and realizing too late that my left leg wouldn't make it over as quick as I thought it would.
"Fuck me!" I cursed, looking as the blood trickled down my leg.
"Faye! Come on, I'll carry you! There's too many on them!" Clem said holding out her hand. I look behind me, there's got to be over at least 3 dozen, I look back at her hand, and Daryl's words repeat in my head. A Dixon never quits."I'm fine. I can walk." I hop down, hissing in pain. "You sure?" Clem asks, her brows together
"I said I'm fine, dammit." I hiss and start walking every step feeling like I'm walking on broken glass, my knife held low, my gun in my holster. I killed a few walkers here and there before seeing as there was a opening in the gate that 'protected' us. "We are surrounded!" Clem yelled to me, it was hard to hear over all the growling. "No shit!" I replied sarcastically. Me and Clem began to fight, and we got to the door. I didn't even realize his hat fell of until we were at the door. "Clementine! Carl's hat, It fell!" Clem's hands were on the door handle, and she flung it open. " For fuck sake Faye! You have to leave it!"My head filled with thoughts and images of Carl hating me, never talking to me again, me crushing his trust. "No." I said before turning around and walking back into the herd, killing any walker that got near, my leg killed me but I needed to get Carl his hat back. When I reached it, I barely had the strength to reach down and get it, I knew I was losing a lot of blood, I needed to hurry. I put it on my head and started on my way back, the blood scent attracting more walkers. So many that I barely made it inside."What was that?" Clem asked after closing the door behind me. "I got the hat. And hey, is this place even clear?" I tried to smile, but her face just hardened.
"Yes I checked..come on. Go sit on the counter. I found what you're looking for." I walked over and sat on the counter. She handed me a thread and needle. "I'm assuming you want to do it." Clementine sighs. "Yeah. I guess. Thanks."~Present time~
"Use the radio in my backpack to radio Rick so they can come to get us, but only once it dies down." Clem shook her head and went to reach for it, but I slapped her hand away. "I said to wait, I'm not putting anyone else in danger today." Clem sighed and nodded, and we listened to the sound of the dead wanting to break through the glass to tear us apart.
