Faye Dixon

"I hate to break this up but we have to leave Rick." Maggie said. "Yeah, we do." Carl agreed.
"Carl-" Rick started but was cut off. "I want to fight for what's ours. I've already won the hardest battle. So I know I can win any battle." Carl smiled referring to me. "Fine. Faye, you coming?" Rick asked. "Yea, you comin'?" Daryl asked, knowing my answer. "Hell yes." Carl's voice was louder than mine. "Hell no." I and Carl said at the same time.

"Carl! Your kidding right? You're the one who convinced me! I shoved his chest."Not exactly. I just didn't say the whole truth. I knew that If I tried to leave you would stop me. So I made sure you thought you were coming. Faye, I'm not letting you get hurt." I shook my head. "Carl now I'm definitely going." I crossed my arms at him. "You don't want to be apart of this battle. You don't know what you're dealing with here." Carl shook his head. "I don't care. What if they attack here, too? What about that? Did you ever think of that? Would you rather have me somewhere where you can protect me, or somewhere where I'm alone without help?" I smirked knowing I had won.

"Get your ass in the RV." Carl shook his head. I smiled before climbing into the RV. "Ah, I'm assuming this spot is reserved?" Maggie pointed next to me as I sat where my right side was against a wall, and the left was open. "Yeah." I said smiling, Maggie sat across from me, a couch on each side. Carl was the third to last to enter the RV. I smiled as the spot next to me was the only 'open one'. Carl walked over and sat next to me, his arms crossed. "I'm pissed that you're coming with us." He said truthfully. The group just listened to our conversation."I think I'm more than capable of handling myself here." I smiled.

"I just can't bear the thought of you getting hurt." He leaned his head back and I turned and laid my head across his lap. "You won't have to worry." I said. "Why is that?" Carl looked down at me. "Because I'm both a Dixon and a Greene." Carl showed a weak smile. "What's the plan?" He asked his father who had just only started driving out of the gates. "Faye is going to stay back behind the fence and shoot from there, Daryl and Jesus are gonna take out outposts and then meet us all back into the compound where the battle is. Faye will stay where she is until after the fight is over and we are getting ready to leave. Got it?"

"Yes." Carl nodded, and I did even though I was not too happy about it. "Good." Rick said smiling slightly. "At least you will be safe. Not in the middle of everything." Carl said and looked down at me again, brushing the hair out of my face. "But you are." I said sighing. "I'm protecting him. I got your back." Clementine spoke up. "Promise?" I said laughing. "I pinky swear." She said sarcastically.

"Hey, did your stitches heal? I never asked." Clem said and I sat up before rolling up a pant leg and showing the huge scar. It did not heal pretty. "It looks infected you know that right?" Clem said. "No, it's not, it's agitated." I said sighing. "Why would it be?" She asked. Truth is, my body never took healing well. Me running on it even after so long it still sorta hurt. My body is easy to hurt and really hard to heal. "Dad, do we have a first aid kit in here?" Carl asked standing up. "Yeah, I have like 5. In the back where the bed is, the top cabinet to your far left right before you get to the bed." Carl nodded and grabbed the first aid kit before walking over to me. "Put your leg up."

"What? " I asked. "Put your leg up." He said again. "Um Carl, Faye really doesn't do good when it comes to medical stuff." Maggie said but after Carl shot her a glare, she stopped talking. "You trust me right?" Carl asked me. "Of course but-" Carl cut me off. "Then put your leg up." I sighed and put my leg up on the couch sitting so the stitches faced him. He grabbed an alcohol pad and kneeled down next to me.

"I'm just going to clean it out okay? Nothing more." Carl shot a smile. "Please.." I shook my head no. "Faye, you have to trust me." Carl took my hand is him. "I... I trust you." I nodded and looked into the couch. I felt him look at the stitches before sighing. "Clem... You were right. It is infected."
"What do you have to do?" I asked scared. "Just put a lot of alcohol on it." Carl sighed. "Fuck me." I said sighing. "You know I'd never hurt you Intentionally right?" I nodded. "I'm doing this so that you get better." Carl said and grabbed the bottle of alcohol. "Okay, here we go." I turned my head into the couch again and screamed quietly as he started to pour the alcohol.
"Carl's baby blue eyes, Carl's baby blue eyes, Carl's baby blue eyes!" I repeated it over and over, as the pain got worse.

"You're doing great, Faye." Clementine tells me. After what felt like a lifetime Carl stopped.
"Done. I'm sorry I hurt you." He said and sighed. I looked at my leg and the red puffiness had somewhat gone down, and the scab that had formed was gone, and it looked kinda normal, other than the blue thread that showed up brightly in contrast with my pale skin tone. "It's okay. Thank you." I said, and Carl cleaned up the medical stuff and put it away. "How did you make it through that without crying?" Maggie asked, astonished. "Carl's eyes. When I think about them they kind of calm me down." I said and smiled at him, he was still putting the kit away in the cabinet.

"I'm glad I have that effect on you." He said and walked over and sat back down next to me after finishing putting it away. I sighed wishing that I had some shorts to put on. "Here. Go change. I know your look." Clementine said handing me a pair of Under Armour shorts that were in her backpack. "You know me so well. Thanks, Clem." I said smiling. It was true in these like 4 months or so of meeting Clementine we have become really close. "And here." She also hands me a hairbrush and four hair ties. I smile and roll my eyes playfully before taking them and walking into the cramped bathroom that it had in the right corner across from the medicine.

I changed and finally took a bit of water from the water bottle that sat in there and poured some on a piece of toilet paper before scrubbing Carl's dried blood from the shooting off my hands. After that, I looked at my hands, as they were now clean. I did quick and messy French braided pigtails before walking about out handing Clementine my old clothes and the hairbrush and two hair ties I didn't use. She placed them in her backpack and I knew Carl was staring at me. I sighed before smiling and walking back and sat back where I was. "Are we there yet?" I asked.
"No Faye. A few more days at this speed."
This was going to be a long trip...
