Preparing for dad's arrival

Apparently Lou and Amy have been running into dad or have been meeting with him for a while but me not once have I encountered him which is fine because I'm not sure if I was ever ready. Turns out this Saturday I have to be ready apparently Amy has invited him for lunch to catch up with Lou and Amy and to meet me. Lou told me about this morning but I've panicked why? Do you ask. Well let's just say if she had informed me more time in advance like let's say a week it would of been better but not days before. I'm not sure if I'm emotionally and mentally prepared for this it's just all happening too quickly.

"Now think like a cow Mallory,"Ty says to Mallory as he's roping ready to tie her up
"Come on Ty how can she think like a cow if she's a human being! Plus you need to loosen your wrist a bit more,"I exclaim crossing my arms as I sit on the fence.
"Yeah Ty this ridiculous all just to impress their dad to show that you can do more than just muck out stalls.I'm done here!"Mallory says as she starts to walk away but Ty seeks this as an opportunity to aim and rope at Mallory and he succeeded alright.
Mallory stands still in annoyance then unwraps herself from the ropes.
"Moo,"she says unimpressed she then walks away
"Mallory! Come one we were having fun,"Tay exclaims as she walks away
He then turns to me with a smirk.
"Ty no cowboy is ever impressed with someone roping human beings it's not even a sport!"I exclaim
"That's why I'm going to practice so I can do the real thing right, now come on Liv help me practice?"Ty asks me
"Don't you even dare to think that I will agree to be your dummy for one second. Word of advice get some cattle then you can practice. Good luck!"I exclaim as I walked away and into the stable to find
Amy...and Lou?
I overheard them about Lisa buying hipwaiters? Huh that's weird. Lisa does not fish does she?
What's Lou doing in a stables?
Apart from that she was sitting on the floor as if she fell what was Copper doing out too?
"Did I miss something?"I ask coming in as Amy finishes chuckling.
"Quite a bit actually,"Amy chuckles but Lou proceeds to give her the death glare
"What are you doing in a stable?"I ask Lou
"Actually Lou wants to be an equestrian expertise practically when dad comes,"Amy replied
"Lou? Horse expertise? Aren't you afraid of horses?"I ask Lou
"No..no I'm not,"Lou replied
I just give her a 'really?' Look
"Fine but that's why Amy is helping me,"Lou says
"She needs to spend more time around the horses and where they are at to get more of their POV,"Amy explains
"Well you have got quite the POV from that angle,"I chuckle
Lou doesn't look very pleased with my joke if anything annoyed. So I went to give Lou a hand to stand up.
"Haha very funny Liv I will have you know I grew up on this ranch as well and my knowledge of horses may be way better than the two of you think,"Lou says with confidence.
Amy and I just exchanged looks.

"Going Uh fishing Grandpa?"Lou asks grandpa as we come in curiosity.
"That's what I said,"Grandpa replies not looking up at us
"Yeah um but you left out the important part,"Amy says
"The October cat won't work this late in the season,"Grandpa says
Hmm this is getting interesting!
"No,"Lou says getting antsy
"All about timing and have to match-"Grandpa starts but Lou interrupts him
"No,"Lou said getting more antsy
"We are not talking about follies Grandpa,"Amy says
"It's more like a special someone,"I say
"Taking Lisa to my fishing camp,"grandpa says
"N,"Lou says about to say no but realizes that he actually answered our anticipated question.
"Yeah,"she finishes
"Well if you already know what's there to talk about?" grandpa asks
"It's rare,"I say
"How So?"Grandpa asks me
"Well you haven't invited anyone there since Grandma died,"Amy answers
"Well the way I see it I'm grown up enough to mange my own private life,"Grandpa replies
Umm...ouch. Sounds like something he usually says to Mallory and me.
"Anyways I get plenty of that from you and Mallory,"grandpa says referring to me and Mallory. Of course that statement sounded familiar.
"So if you excuse me I have plenty of more fishes to fry,"grandpa says ending our conversation
My sisters and I just exchange looks.

The next morning
I just woke up the thing is I slept in a little since Lou and Amy prepared dad's visit. As I'm dressing I hear Ty and Mallory talking. I walk out of my room to meet up with them. As I come in I see them walking away from the window Mallory seems upset about everything changing?
"Hey guys what's wrong?"I ask
"About time you're up,"Ty says
"Everything changing did you know that Jack is going on a date with Lisa?"Mallory asks me
"Yeah they're going fly fishing why?"I ask
"You knew and you didn't even bother to tell me?"Mallory asks
"Sorry I just found out last night anyways,"I say
"You used to tell me everything. I'm right everything is changing!"Mallory exclaims in frustration I give her a funny look.
"Hey look like your dad is here let's go say hi,"Ty says looking out the window.
Ty and Mallory starts to walk to the front and they give a questionable look of why I'm not joining them.
"Aren't you coming?"Ty asks
"I mean he is your dad,"Mallory says
"I'm going to umm I need to finish brushing my hair,"I say stuttering
They give me a weird look again then they shrug their shoulders and leave. I run to the restroom and grab my brush. I start brushing my hair and I style it in two French braids (like primrose in hunger games). I run back to the kitchen to look out the window there's my dad I can't believe it I'm seeing him for the first time ever. Now I see it everyone says I'm a even combination of my mom and dad. I see he has a trailer and a horse. Why did he bring that horse? Is it his? Ty puts the horse in our stable everyone continues to talk but they start walking towards my way. Amy spots me my eyes goes wide open realizing any moment dad can spot me so I push off the window and barge/run as fast as I can to my room. I close my door and I sit in my bed awkwardly not sure what to expect...

A/N: Hi everyone sorry for the long wait on this update I catches up on my YouTube channel which is "Adaniventure with Dani"
I've posted and edited lots of vlogs and videos if you're interested. Anyways back on topic has anyone noticed I changed the tense Yeah now we're in present tense. So it is as if Liv was telling about the hard beginning at first but now she's narrating in present. How do y'all think Liv respond to meeting Tim will she be upset with him or will she be accepting?
Who knows wait until the next chapter.
