Dear Sam,

I was very happy when I heard about you from Bill Weasley. I met the Weasley Family in the Order of the Phoenix meeting. You might not heard about it. The order was set when Voldemort first started the war. And now the order was rebuilt to fight him again. I followed my father and have become a member as well.

Anyway, I wish I can meet you soon. I had been searching all over for you. I was so scared that you were captured and dreaded that I might found your corpse somewhere. I'm so sorry for what has happened to you. I really do. Will you meet me? Please let me know. I can always come to your home like I always did in the past. I love you.

Your best friend, Cedric.

Sam closed the parchment that had Cedric's handwriting. Remembering how close they were and now she was already with another man, made her wonder what would his reaction knowing all the news. Or probably Bill had told him.

She sat by the window of her bedroom, looking out at the sunset behind the green hill with the maple leaves flying blown by the winter wind. So peaceful, she thought to herself. If only her world was that peaceful.

She read the letter one more time, as if she was searching another clue that she might overlooked. He probably didn't know she was pregnant. Or he felt too awkward to mention it in the letter. But he wanted to come. The memory of their first kiss was seemed so many years ago, though it was just few months ago. It was hazy now. Covered by vivid memories of her and Severus.

Should she answer the letter? Or should she avoid it?

She really didn't know. She had this fear. Fear of rejection in his eyes when he knew that she was pregnant by a Death Eater, who was also their own teacher. Would he judge her for falling in love with him.

For years, she was Cedric's shadow. Loyally stayed by his side when he was with Cho. Even more devotedly stayed by his side when Cho left him for Harry. Until he finally noticed her feeling. And he welcomed her, willing to be with her in this new relationship.

She was very much dwelling in her own mind that the night had come. And the sound of a pebble knocking her window retrieved her mind to the surrounding that she sat up and looked down to the ground behind her window where she found Cedric smiling widely to her.

Her frown changed immediately, big smile appeared on her pale face. She stood from the window couch and opened it. Cedric levitated himself and flew to her room. She closed the window to prevent the cold weather seeping in anymore.

Cedric looked at her up and down and ignored her protruding belly before he pulled her to his embrace.

"I miss you," he whispered.

She smiled to him, with happy tears falling. She remembered how she missed him when she was still in the dungeon thinking that her life was going to end soon.

They then cozily lied on her bed, Cedric as always did all the talking. He talked how he searched for her. How he knew about the order because his father and him didn't want to stop looking for her. How he urged Dumbledore to find her but Dumbledore kept telling him to stop after 3 months of her missing, saying that usually after 3 months, they found the missing muggleborns' body.

"But I never gave up," he said firmly, "I mean, how could I."

His hand stroked her arm comfortably like it always did in the past while she laid her cheek on her chest hearing his heart beat. Her hand was idly resting at his torso. And when his hand cupped hers, she raised her eyes to his.

He then kissed her soft lips for a second before she pulled herself away. Her eyes were widened.

"What's wrong?" he asked.
