His mother was mumbling at the stove and around the kitchen. "Manhã mãe(Morning mother)." Kaique said softly. "Manhã Kaique." She said. He led me over to the table. He pulled a chair out for me. I sat down before he scooted the chair back in. He sat down next to me reaching his hand out taking my hand in his.

I could tell he was trying to reassure me. I wouldn't mind living here. I'm wanting to see the countryside now. I could tell his mother was standoffish to me. "Você precisa de alguma ajuda mãe(Do you need any help mom)?" Kaique asked. "Não." She said sharply. Then Kaique's father came in.

"Filho matutino(Morning son)." He said. "Manhã." Kaique said back. Breakfast was quiet. "Obrigado pelo café da manhã foi delicioso(Thank you for breakfast, it was delicious)." I said when I was done. Kaique offer to take my plate for me. I allowed him to.

"Quando você vai voltar para os Estados Unidos(When are you going back to the United States)?" His father asked. "No final desta semana(At the end of the week)." I answered. "Kaique você poderia sair e verificar as vacas para mim(Kaique could you go out and check the cows for me)?" His father asked. "Sim senhor." Kaique answered. He nudged me.

I followed behind him. He held my hand as he led me to a barn. He saddled two horses before leading them out. He stopped them right outside the barn before helping me onto one. He kissed me once before getting onto the other horse. I followed him out into a pasture. "Race?" He asked. I gave the horse it's head.

The horse shot forward. Another set of hooves pounded the ground next to me. He whistled as we neared the herd. I slowed the horse down. He came up to me and squeezed my thigh. I looked over at him. I knew he was hoping that his parents would accept me. They didn't know my story.

This week is going to be long for me.

After spending a full week with Kaique and seeing how he lives here in his own country, I've grown to love it here, even though I've only been here a week. I'm definitely going to miss him while I'm back in the US. My flight leaves straight for Dallas, then to Amarillo, pack get everything together before driving clear to Arlington for the event.

Kaique said he was going to try to make it for Arlington. He needs to get there before me if he's to ride. Kaique was all packed, he kissed his mother's cheek, then got into the truck with me. His father was taking us to the airport. When there I pulled out the ticket from the flight a week ago. The lady nodded before letting me through. Kaique was also let through after he bought a ticket.

I went through the security check before I went to find the flight. Kaique was right behind me. His bag wasn't small enough for him to take it on with him. We boarded the flight, sitting next to each other. The entire flight we talked about anything. He let me lean on him when he asked a personal question.

My brother was four months from being released from prison. He had gotten three years of prison time. That time was almost up. Kaique reassured me that he would not get ahold of me. When we landed in Dallas, Kaique and I split ways. I hopped to my next flight and went to Amarillo. I was able to get a ride to close to my place.

I it was a taxi and I had them drop me off at the stop sign near my house. I paid the driver before starting to walk. I unlocked my front door and washed those clothes before packing for the PBR season. I called Flint letting him know I was going to be there. When my laundry was done, I packed it up before heading to Arlington.

When I got there I got a hotel room with a single bed before heading over to the arena. I met up with Flint to discuss some things before the first night. We went over what we were going to do for the night before getting into our dress. I had a queasy feeling about tonight. Someone is going to get seriously injured.
