"Chris? Shadow? Hello?" She knocked on the door. "Hello! Human!" She scowled and opened the door, slightly surprised it wasn't locked. She saw how peaceful he was sleeping in the pitch black room and sniggered quietly at her brilliance before opening the curtains.
He scowled and teleported himself into her shadow, trying to keep the darkness around him.
"I can see you you know?" He scowled and made himself physical.
"What?"
"Look outside you oblivious idiot." He walked towards the window and saw a crowd forming with police cars surrounding the house. Roger Raincomprix was holding a megaphone, yelling things he couldn't hear even if he wanted to. He quickly closed the curtains and turned to her.
"I like it better dark. Sigh. Ignorance is bliss I guess."
"I can't believe you. They've been out there for hours. It's like eleven. How long do you sleep?"
"I stay up in the night."
"Why?"
"#nightowllife?" She stared at him for a second before sighing.
"Well, you're not gonna tell me obviously."
"Wh- I'm actually a night owl though. I like staying up. Who cares if it's partly because I can't sleep. Night time is the best time to do anything."
"Yeah, yeah. You should try to get some sleep though. Is that why you wear a hoodie then?" He blinked.
"Not exactly, though I should totally add it to the list, thanks by the way."
"List?"
"Yep. Hide my hideous face, avoid social interactions, feel like an assassin from assassin's creed, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera."
"You seriously think your face is hideous? Really? What are you blind?"
"Uh..." He went slightly red.
"Did I do something wron-"
"Let's go ask Papillon what to do!" He grabbed her hand and teleported to Papillon's room.
"Guys! Ever heard of knocking?" I shook my head. "Nooroo, they already saw you. Come say hello." He flew out from behind the curtain.
"Um... he-"
"IT'S A... IT'S A- WHAT IS THAT PURPLE THING?!"
"Holy shi-"
"Hey. You wash your mouth. It's not polite to swear in front of the elderly you dirty turdblossom-"
"Language!"
"Elderly? It's not my fault I don't know how old you are. Shadow Man can't know everything."
"I'm talking about the kwami? The purple thing hovering over my head?" He sat down on my head, shaking his head at Chris.
"It's older than me? I doubt that."
"It's a he-" Nooroo stepped in, flying his front of his face.
"And that he is millennia older than you so you should show some respect and knock or at least warn someone. The cheek of you mortals sometimes. You nearly gave me a heart attack." Manon nudged him.
"Sorry mister."
"Nooroo."
"Yeah, we're sorry Nooroo. You know, we could have just walked here Shadow Man."
"Trust me, I saved us both from a super awkward conversation. You're welcome." She rolled her eyes.
"You really should let me know, I was doing something important."
"Which was?"
"Teaching Nooroo here how to speak. Now, say Egboigbe Gbagamgbam Gbaghada gobbles up gbanga soup."
"Uh... You know, I would say that... but..."
"There's kind of a huge crowd outside and some police who want to arrest you. Just saying." I scowled.
"You win this round you sneak. Nooroo, wings up!" I transformed, ignoring their amazed faces and grinned at them. "Eh. I totally saw this coming." I teleported us in front of her house, watching Alya try to pry the megaphone out of Roger's hands. She succeeded.
"YOU LISTEN TO ME YOU... PAPILLON! YOU GIVE US BACK THE KIDS OR YOU WILL HAVE HELL TO PAY WHEN I-" she stopped when she saw me leading them down the stairs. She handed it to Mr. Raincomprix, smiling sheepishly. I held back a laugh.
"Hold your horses, we're here."
"Papillon, put your hands behind your head. Don't move."
"Uh... don't you want their weapons?" I ran in and got them. Wand, flashlight. I broke them both. I turned the akuma back into butterflies with my own powers. Manon and Chris were standing there, shocked and confused in their human form.
"Well? Don't just stand here looking at me. Go to your peeps." I allowed myself to be handcuffed and turned to them. Chris frowned. Manon was still in shock.
"This... this is the plan?"
"Plan? I never mentioned anything about a plan to you."
"Are you insane?"
"Is that really the last thing you want to say to me before I go to prison?"
"YES! BECAUSE YOU ARE COMPLETELY INSANE!" Guess she's out of shock now.
"Your loss. You can visit me if you want. See you two later. Oh, and Manon?"
"Yeah?"
"Remember that fall off a cliff thing?" She gulped. Chris' frown grew.
"You wouldn't. Would you?" I kept quiet. "Papillon? Say something woman!"
"You lived. I guess all I can say is I hope she does too. It's not like it's Me that makes all this stuff up. It's Zee. Boi, she crazy." I chuckled. "Wish me luck and have a nice life Chranon! See you later!" Manon was seriously creeped out. Chris was seriously worried. Neither of them wanted to talk about the whole falling off a cliff thing he had suggested that I'm totally gonna do by the way.
"Uh..."
"I guess we-" Nino punched him lightly from the back. He spun around. "What the-"
"HUG ME BROTHER!" Chris chuckled and hugged him. Alya hugged him as well. Manon giggled and looked for her mother. Nadia Chamack rushed towards her, eyes shining...
...with her media crew.
"Manon Chamack, how did it feel to have been akumatised once again?"
