"So, Chris, again, I got a sewing machine like three days ago." He groaned, trying to sleep. She had stayed outside his door for hours each day, receiving no response but talking all the same.
"Would you give it a rest already Chamack? I don't want to talk to you."
"I've been working since that night though. You wanna see what I made?" She passed something through the space under the door. He picked it up. It was a black puppet with two green buttons for eyes and brown hair. Not exactly good but she did try. It looked abnormal. He swallowed down his guilt again.
"If I didn't have a black heart I may have been touched by this." She smiled. "I feel like you're smiling right now. Stop smiling. I still hate you." Just less.
"I'm rolling my eyes right now."
"Good. Get those negative vibes flowing." She glared at the door. "I can feel you burning a hole through my head but the door is too thick so you can give up."
"How can you tell?"
"I'm in your shadow."
"What?!" She turned back but it was her own shadow.
"Too late." She scowled.
"I hate you."
"Hate you more doll." She bit her lip, wondering what to say. What to do.
"Are you as bored as I am?"
"I'm so bored I'm actually starting to find speaking to you of all the disgusting humans on this earth mildly entertaining. Do you have anything to do in this house?"
"Well maybe if you came out you could find something." He stood up, walked to the door and opened it. She jumped.
"Didn't think I'd come out? Trust me, I didn't want to. I still don't want to. But one can only be bored for so long... what is there to do around here?"
"Um... We could watch TV I guess?" He grabbed the remote and switched it on.
"This is Nadia Chamack, reporting for TVi-"
"Change it."
"What?"
"Change it right now."
"Why... wait. Chamack?"
"Yes. That's my mom. Now chan-"
"Shh."
"The two villains have not been found but an anonymous caller has allegedly-" it went off.
"Hey! I was watching the news."
"And I don't care."
"Why do you suddenly hate the news? You loved seeing your mom on TV when you were younger. Your eyes used to..." He remembered how they used to light up like little brown christmas trees. "You were so adorable as a kid. Anyway, what changed?"
"I dunno. What?"
"Ooh. Mysterious."
"You can't be the only one, now can you?"
"So what now?"
"We can just go outside you know. Outside seems really nice. We could go to the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower or-"
"No and no. Is there anywhere we can go where there aren't any humans? Or I don't know, where we can't be seen? We're still akumatised here. Don't want to get caught."
"Oh yeah. Why don't we want to get caught by the way?"
"Cause I like to terrorise humans. And I find it's not fun when you can be seen laughing at them. You know what, why don't I just go alone? It'll be easier to prank people in the shadows without having to actually make someone else figureless. Bye." Just as he was about to teleport she grabbed his cloak. He scowled at her.
"Where are we?"
"Where do you think?" She looked around. Her eyes widened. They were in a really dark room with a bunch of other people wearing 3D glasses and... come on. I don't really need to explain do I?
"A cinema I guess. What movie is that."
"Shrug. Some sort of horror movie about a demon that comes in the night to steal your mortal soul." He grinned as she shuddered, clutching his cloak tighter.
"I actually love horror movies."
"Really?"
"Yes, actually. I've watched this movie before. Reminds me of you in a way you demon."
"Aww thanks. I'm touched. You're kinda holding me back here? I want to go scare some people." She let go of his cloak hurriedly.
"What?! Dude, you know you shouldn't-"
"Shh! We're trying to watch a movie here."
"Ooh, my first victim. Just stay here at the back where no one can see you." Shadow flew over the cinema and entered the guy's shadow. He took physical form and covered his eyes.
"Hey Liz, I thought you were in the restroom. How'd you get all the way-" Shadow uncovered his eyes. The boy turned a sick pale when he saw him.
"Peek-a-boo." He screamed. Everyone glared at him. He watched the boy run out of the room. "Aww, that's too bad. I just got started." He scared a few more people before going to the front of the cinema, smiling at his unknowing victims.
Manon wondered what he could do with such a huge screen and all that light. She shuddered again. I can't exactly explain what he did but every single person in the theatre ran out. He made himself huge and then he actually had to carry a few people in the audience before they found out he was an actual tangible creature. No one stayed in their seats after that.
"That was great. Did you see how fast they ran?" She nodded, watching how excited and not dead he looked as he teleported from shadow to shadow. She was hiding in an alleyway, waiting for him so they could teleport somewhere else.
"Not bad at all Shadow Man. Unfortunately, I'm still the better villain. I almost got their miraculouses. Three of the greatest superheroes in Paris, if not the world!"
"All I'm hearing is-"
Shadow Man, you're so amazing, amazing, amazing...
He was actually making music with three people's shadows. But unfortunately, fate wasn't about to let him get away with scaring that many people to death. You scare my peeps to death, you die. That's how karma works son.
So yeah.
He teleported himself in front of a bus.
Ah well.
Life.
Death.
Potato tomato.
