This one is loosely based off the song Green Light by Lorde
So yeah, it's gonna be super angsty
The song is in the multimedia if you wanna check it out
"But honey I'll be seein' you wherever I go. But honey I'll be seein' you down every road. I'm waiting for it, that green light, I want it. 'Cause honey I'll come get my things, but I can't let go. I'm waiting for it, that green light, I want it. Oh, I wish I could get my things and just let go. I'm waiting for it, that green light, I want it."

Aimee looks at the tiny stick in her hands and feels all the color in her face disappear. She sees the blue plus sign next to the word pregnant and she immediately feels nauseous. There was no way she could be pregnant at 22, but she is. She had only been dating Morgan Rielly for 6 months and she's already pregnant with his child.
She can' have a child with him. She can't afford a baby and she knows a baby would only ruin his career. What young, successful NHL player has a baby with a woman he had only been in a relationship with for a few months? She can't do that to him so she knows what she has to do. She has to breakup with him and move out of downtown.
There's no way she could stay in the downtown where she could bump into him and potentially his friends and teammates. If they saw her pregnant, they would put two and two together realize that it's Morgan's. She can't have him knowing about his child. It's not like she's gonna keep the child anyway. Being a single 22 year old barely making ends meet, there's no way she could raise a child.
Back in her native New York City, she doesn't have any family to run to really. She grew up with no father and her mother overdosed on prescription drugs a few years ago. So she has to do what she has to do. She'll probably move up to the northern part of the city or something.
The next day, she finds herself knocking on Morgan's apartment door.
"Hey Aimee, what you doing here so early?" he asks her.
It was almost noon and he had to be at the ACC by 2.
"We need to talk, Morgan," she replies, fighting the urge to call him Mo.
She enters the luxury, high rise condo and feels herself being hit with a wave of nausea.
"What is it?" he asks as they both sit down on the couch in the living room.
"Morgan, I think we need to go our separate ways," she informs him, her voice barely a whisper.
"Our seperate ways? No need to sugarcoat anything, Aimee. If you don't want to be with me anymore, than just say it," he replies, crossing his hand over his chest.
"I do want to be with you Morgan, but you're too good for me. You're better off without me and if you knew the truth about me, you would understand why. I love you enough to let you go. I'm sorry. I love you, I truly do," she manages to let out, fighting back tears.
