Audrey stands in her glass seats at the KeyBank Arena with her family wearing her Team Canada jersey. She has been going to hockey games practically her entire life since her twin brother, Jake Bean, practically grew up on the ice.

She watches the game in anticipation and growing nerves as the game goes on. Last year, her heart ached watching her brother cry on the ice as team Canada lost in the Gold Medal game to team USA 5-4 in the shootout.

This year has been different. After the 1st period, the game was scoreless. However, Team Canada came out of the tunnel refocused and less than 2 minutes into the 2nd, they scored. Audrey and her family erupted into cheers alongside all the other Canadian fans. The joy was shortlived however as Sweden scored a shorty 11 minutes later, tying the game up at 1. The 2nd period ends like that. The 3rd period is stressful for both teams and fans as the game remains tied for the majority of the period.

"Come on boys! You can do it!" Audrey yells, praying for the puck to hit the back of Sweden's net.

Her prayers are finally answered with less than 2 minute left in the game. As the puck hits the back of Sweden's net and the goal horn sound goes off in the arena, she jumps in jubilation with her family and the rest of the Canadian fans. They score an empty netter 26 seconds later, sealing their fate.

As soon as the final horn goes off, the entire team swarms the ice in celebration. They shake hands with the Swedes, congratulating them on a job well done. The Swedes receive their Silver medals and take their team photo with the Silver medals. Then Canada is presented their gold medals and they take their team photo with their gold medals.

The boys then head to the locker room to celebrate and Audrey and her family head over there to congratulate Jake. They step into the locker room and see the boys taking pics and shouting at each other in jubilation. There's hugs between teammates and family and friends. Audrey finally sees Jake and runs towards him.

"Jake!" she squeals, jumping into her brother's awaiting arms.

"Audrey!" he smiles back, hugging the life out of her.

"I'm proud of you bro!" she smiles, leaving a kiss on his sweaty cheek.

"Thanks sis," he smiles back, ruffling up her hair a little to annoy her.

Their parents congratulate him with hugs and they take some photos. Audrey notices Carter from the corner of her eyes and gives him a discreet smile. Her and Carter have been secretly dating for a while now and have managed to sneak around a couple times throughout the tournament.

She's been wanting to tell Jake about their relationship but Carter has always told her that Jake would kill him for dating his sister.

"Jake, I'll be right back," she informs him before walking off towards Carter.

"Audrey," he smiles, once she arrives in front of him.

"Carter, since you guys won and everyone's happy, I think now would be the perfect time to tell Jake about us," she suggests, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.

"Alright, let's do it," he replies, biting his lip.

"You're the best!" she squeals, resisting the urge to pepper his face with kisses.

Together they walk over to where her brother and parents are.

"Hey guys, Carter and I have an announcement to make," she speaks up, causing them to look at her with intrigue.

"Audrey is a really special girl and she really makes me happy and I would love if we got your approval on us dating. I swear I would never hurt her," Carter explains, while Audrey squeezes his hand in comfort and encouragement.

"So you're telling me that you two have been sneaking around behind my back?" Jakes asks, his tone serious.

"Yes," Carter manages to let out with stuttering in nervousness.

"How long have you two been seeing each other?" Jake asks, sounding a little hurt.

"A while now," Audrey replies, giving her brother a pleading look.

"Well clearly I can't stop you guys from liking each other and dating but if you ever hurt her Carter, I swear to God I will end you," Jake threatens seriously.

"I swear to God Jake I would never hurt her," Carter reassures him before planting a soft kiss on Audrey's lips.

"Dude, don't ever kiss my sister in front of me," Jake groans in disgust.

"Alright, well we're gonna head back to the hotel. See you guys later," Audrey informs her brother and parents, tugging on Carter's arm.

She waves goodbye to her family before dragging him out of the locker room.

"Movies and celebratory cuddles?" she asks him, as they make their way out of the arena.

"I wouldn't wanna celebrate winning gold any other way, babe," he smiles, kissing her sweetly.

"Let's get out of here, Hart," she says, dragging him towards the arena a few blocks down.

"Right behind you, Bean," he replies, allowing her to lead him towards the hotel.

The two spent the rest of the night watching movies and cuddling before falling asleep in each other's arms. No better way to celebrate a gold medal at World Juniors.

Hey Audrey, sorry for the delay. I had finals and then graduation and now my grandma is terminally ill so it's been a busy month for me. I hope you enjoyed it.
