This plot came to mind a few days ago and my brain was like "you're from providence so you should do it on a player currently in providence" then my mind went "this plot 🤝 trent frederic" and here we are

Thank you once again to Morgan aka enderizzo for helping me quarterback my ideas and co-signing my writings! Love you queen

One touch, I'm a victim. One look in your eyes, I'm in. One kiss, I'm addicted. One drink and it's sink or swim. I'm feeling vulnerable, what if I let go? You make me want to though

Tatyana Ventura didn't think she would find someone in the Providence area or Rhode Island in general. She tried dating apps but she was stuck with the same assholes that flood her state. At 23 years old and patiently waiting to climb the ladder at the Providence Journal as a sports columnist, she thought she would just end up alone or have to move somewhere else to find someone decent.

Then came the New Years Eve party at Ryan Fitzgerald's condo in downtown. It's no secret that all the Providence players live in the same high-rise building, since it's right next to the Omni Hotel and a block away from the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

One of Tatyana's friends, Jake, had befriended Fitzgerald and got invited to the party. Jake asked if he could bring someone and Fitzy said no problem. When she arrived at the party and saw all the P-Bruins players she was a little overwhelmed, but once some liquor got into her system, she was arguing about offsides reviews with like half the team.

She really hit it off with Trent and they exchanged numbers. She even kissed him at midnight because she had liquid courage in her to be bold and make a move. They made plans to hang out and she felt like she could really love him

The thing about love, it ain't simple enough. The thing about trust is it takes two of us. So if I let you in here tonight. Hundred degrees, know you want to

After a couple of friend-dates, she realized that she really liked him, but she didn't know if he felt the same. He seemed interested but hesitant to express if he wanted it to be serious or not. There were a couple nights where she felt like it could be the night where he tells her what he wants from her. Alas, it never came to fruition and she felt like she was being friendzoned. Another part of her was like "why in the world would Trent Frederic ever have a thing for a plain, old intern at a local newspaper?"

But please don't touch me if you don't mean it. The space between our skin saying more than enough. But once you lay a finger, it can't be undone. So, please don't touch me if you don't mean it, hey. You know how it's been, yeah, I've been through enough. But once you put your hands, it can't be undone

She and Trent quickly became best of friends. He would call her after games and she would text him during games, chirping him if he made a mistake. Her job paid her to attend games and gave her a free ahl.tv subscription. Even when he was on the road, they wouldn't stop talking to each other. She was really falling for him, but she knew not to push it. She told herself he would make a move if he wanted to make a move. He also knew her shitty dating history and her love life failures and how many guys played her throughout the years. So, he wouldn't do the same, would he?
