Chapter 16

Doctors POV

I ran through the double doors on the floor was a pool of blood on a tray were bloody surgical instruments.

I ran to the blood and crouched down wiping my fingers in the blood and sniffing it I could smell Heather-Emilie's blood group. I stopped in my tracks when I turned round I saw Jacks eyes flaming in rage back through the double doors there were two corridors that we could take before deciding whether to split up or not with Jack not thinking straight he walked off towards the right I followed him and stopped him in his tracks.

"Jack, she's alive okay she has lived longer than you and she can stand torture she was tortured for thousands of years don't worry she will be fine we will all be fine im not splitting up if you are not in the right state of mind" I explained slowly.

He nodded breathed and walked off down the corridor.

I turned round and went into the opposite corridor which turned out to be a small room with a gurney in the middle and chains connected from hooks on the wall to the naked body in front of me metal claws were digging into the woman's chest also her hands and feet that were chained via the hooks also were handcuffed to the gurney.

I stood for a few seconds looking at the woman her face scrunched up in pain but no noise escaped her gagged mouth.

Suddenly the doors opened and hares came in and took quick notes before getting the woman ready for the birthing of the child.

They all stood round the gurney taking notes none of them encouraged her or helped her they just stood watching. I couldn't stand this none of them had seen me after the screaming started I ran to her side and looked into her eyes murmuring encouragement and undoing the gag the pains were coming one after another I grabbed a blanket and covered her body before helping by holding the head of the baby and encouraging Heather to push.

Jack ran into the room and ran to the head of the gurney and helped soothe her soon the baby was out the hares stepped in and took the child into an incubator and left the mother alone.

Sonicing all the chains and helping her to get up I handed her my jacket, socks and jack gave her a long shirt . When she was in the odd assortment of clothes the shirt to her mid thigh and the jacket went down to her knees buttoned up and wearing red socks. I smiled before undoing my bowtie and fastening it round her neck.

"You look cool now" I laughed while she smiled though it was forced and I could see her pain all the stitches around her body and the pain of childbirth.

"Where's Jack Darius Harkness" she smiled

"Jack senior is on the case" I laughed

Smiling seeing her okay was all I needed even though I knew she was in pain I looked for a relief sticker in my trouser pocket and placed it on Heathers neck .

The moment as we smiled and looked into each other eyes lasted seconds as Jack came through the door hands on head and five hares walked through the door holding large guns while the one in the middle held Jack Jr.
