My jacket sleeves were rolled up, and my buttons were undone. The Doctor's glasses were on, and we were hard at work.

"There's no point in chromosomal grafting, it's too erratic." The Doctor stated, a cylinder of yellow liquid in his hand. "Catherine, any thoughts?" I nodded.

"You need to split the genome and force the Dalek human sequence right into the cortex. " The Doctor rushed across the room, pouring one substance into the other.

"We need more Chromatin solution." Dalek Sec stated.

"THE PIG SLAVES HAVE IT." The pig men came in, wielding a large crate. Lazlo was among them. I gave him a nod, letting him know I was ok.

"What happens to them in the grand scheme of things?" I asked, "The pig men."

"Nothing. They're just simple beasts. Their lifespan is limited. None survive beyond a few weeks," Sec explained, "Power up the line feeds." I made my way over to Lazlo.

"Lazlo, I...I don't think we can undo what they did to you. But they won't do it to anyone else, I promise." I said quietly. The Doctor joined me, nodding in agreement.

"Do you trust him?" He asked.

"I know that one man can change the course of history. Right idea in the right place at the right time, it's all it takes. I've got to believe it's possible. " The Doctor told him. I nodded in agreement.

"THE LINE FEEDS ARE READY." The Dalek told us.

"Then it's all systems go." The Doctor sucked the solution up into the syringe.

"The solar flare is imminent. The radiation will reach Earth in a matter of minutes." Dalek Sec told us. I nodded.

"Don't worry. We'll be ready for it. " I assured him. "That compound will allow the gene bonds to reconfigure in a brand new pattern"

".Power up!" The Doctor commanded. We stood beside Sec, watching as a pig man flipped a switch.

"Start the line feeds." The blue solution was sent up the clear tubes towards the bodies. I smiled.

"There goes the gene solution." The Doctor accounted.

"The life blood. "All of a sudden, a red light started flashing, and an alarm started going off.

"What's that?" The Doctor asked.

"What's happening," Sec inquired, "Is there a malfunction? Answer me!"

"They're overriding the gene feed!" I exclaimed, looking at the control panel.

"Impossible. They cannot disobey orders."

"They're also not supposed to have feelings or think rationally, but there's a first time for everything, Sec." I replied. The Doctor stepped up beside me.

"THE DOCTOR AND CATHERINE WILL STEP AWAY FROM THE CONTROLS."  One of the Daleks advanced towards us, and the Doctor grabbed my shoulders, pulling me back.

"Stop! You will not fire!" Sec commanded.

"THEY ARE ENEMIES OF THE DALEKS!"

"AND SO ARE YOU!"  Two of the Daleks pushed us and Dalek Sec into a clump.

"I am your commander!" Sec argued. The Doctor held a hand out, urging him to calm down, "I am Dalek Sec!"

"YOU HAVE LOST YOUR AUTHORITY!"

"YOU ARE NO LONGER A DALEK!"

"What did you do to the feed?" I asked.

"THE NEW BODIES WILL BE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT DALEK!"
