Chapter 31: Disaster Lunch

KURT’S POV

AT THE ROOFTOP

Badtrip! Tinakasan ako ni Gail. May kasabay na daw siyang mag-lunch. Dammit!

“Dude, relax! Nakailang palit ka na ba ng plastic spoon and fork? Pinuputol mo lang. Nanggigil ka eh.” Derrick said.

I didn’t utter a word. When I’m pissed, I don’t talk.

“Bakit ba mukhang badtrip si Master?” – Arthur

“Si Gail kasi!” Si Wayne na ang sumagot habang kumakain siya. “Nireject ni Gail si Master nung niyaya siyang kumain dito.”

“And she chose to be with someone else instead of our poor master,”dagdag paliwanag ni Kent.

“Shut the f*ck up!” I hissed.

*SILENCE*

“Ahh baka malay mo Kurt, si Kaye Anne lang ang kasama niya,” Alex said.

I hope so. But if she’s really with Kaye Anne, they shouldn’t have gone here instead of eating at the cafeteria. Kaye Anne’s allowed to have lunch with us either. -___-

*SILENCE*

“Master, tinamaan ka na ba kay Gail? Diba sila yung binantayan niyo during summer vacation?” Toffer suddenly asked and to answer his question, I gave him a glare. “Ooppss. Wrong question, sorry.”

*SILENCE*

“Hi guys!!!”

We all looked back to see who shouted and to my surprise, it’s Kaye Anne. I asked Jake to bring the netbook back to Kaye Anne yesterday. Mukhang nagawa na yata ni Jake. Kailangan gawin nina Dustin, Toffer at Jake ang dapat gawin nila para hindi ko na ulit sila parusahan. That’s what we talked about at the parking lot yesterday. I gave them a single punch on their stomach for what they had done towards Gail and her friends.

“Hi Kaye Anne,” Wayne greeted cheerfully.

“Kaye Anne, kuha ka nalang dyan oh. Nag-padeliver kami sa Greenwich,” Brent said thoughtfully.

“Sige, salamat.”

There was a brief silence again. Kaye Anne sat across mine and took her lunch.

“Guys anong meron? Bakit ang tahimik ninyo?” Kaye Anne asked all of a sudden. She seemed to notice that there’s something up with the silence.

“Ahh.. ehh wala naman.. Kaye Anne, where’s Gail? Why are you not together?”- Derrick

“Kasi kasama niya ng maglunch si Nathan sa cafeteria.”

I frowned automatically as my initial reaction. Nathan? The f*ck. Talagang sinundan niya pa pala si Gail dito sa Manila para lang makasama siya? Isn’t he satisfied yet with the freak Danica?

He’s not that trustworthy. Baka maulit pa yung nangyari sa Sitio Maligaya.

Another deafening silence.

I got my @ss of the seat and ordered, “Twins, come with me.”

 

 

GAIL’S POV

Nandito na kami sa cafeteria. Na-amaze na naman ako kasi air-conditioned din ito at ang lawak ng space. Naghanap muna kami ng pwesto ni Nathan and we chose to be at the corner. Wala lang. Para hindi masyadong expose ‘pag kumain kami.
