Never Too Old

Whicky will Wow you.

A heart saturated,

A pain old and dated,

A joy worn and faded,

A life dilapidated.

"Tear down your walls," they say.

"Rise and face the day.

"Revive life's bright spark.

"Always trust in your heart."

But heart's beat is wearied,

And life's trials have drearied;

Once bright eyes have dimmed,

Curiosity's over-brimmed,

And drained,

And gone;

And life,

Seems,

To pass,

Far, far too fast.

And people sympathise,

As they see the fires in your eyes,

Are guttering in the wind,

Bereft of inspiration,

Drifting to stagnation.

Or so they think...

Until,

A strident yell,

Cuts through:

"Rise and greet the day! Or give up life's short stay.

"Death is but a new beginning,

"But don't go begging for an early greeting!"
