Curiosity

To fixiedustie: because you asked for it. ;)

Is it wise to ask questions: to be curious?

After all, curiosity killed the cat,

Or so they say.

But come to think of it: who are They?

And how can They that know so much,

Say much that means so little?

For if curiosity is indeed a cat killer,

Then may it not also be the giver,

Of our feline friends’ nine lives?

Curiosity killed the cat,

But satisfaction brought it back,

Eight times all told;

But on the ninth,

The cat’s mind turned,

To the dark of night,

And started upon the final quest:

The mystery of eternal rest.

So I ask you now,

Oh cunning reader:

Did curiosity kill the cat,

Or was the search the reason that,

He found eight reasons to come back?
