I woke to a loud gasp. Sitting bolt upright in bed, the duvet up around my chest, I stared in shock at the figure in the doorway.

"Severus Snape!" They seethed.

He sat up lazily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Confused as to why he had been awoken so early that morning. "What the bloody hell..?"

I smiled sheepishly at the headmistress, pulling the blanket up higher. The love of my life smirked and leaned over, pulling me into his lap, seemingly devouring my mouth. He dipped my head back, running his fingers through my curls, his tongue exploring mine.

McGonagall sighed in exasperation. "Why is it that whenever I come in here, I always find you two in a compromising state?"

He released me from his hold, allowing me to straighten up and collect myself. I felt my cheeks blaze, my lips were swollen, I was completely out of breath. Merlin, what that man did to me.

He raised an eyebrow and shrugged, leaning back against the headboard, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, pulling me again into his lap. "The solution is simple, is it not?"

He lay feathery kisses along the back of my left shoulder, running his delicate fingers along the inside of my arm. I sighed contentedly, unable to refrain from reacting to his ever so magical touch. Every pun intended.

Her lips set into a hard line, she gave him the most evil of stares. I shivered under her gaze, though Severus' smirk merely grew until he was grinning wickedly. "Just keeping things interesting, Headmistress."

The older witch practically growled at him. I nudged him gently in the ribs with my elbow. "Watch it." I hissed.

She cleared her throat, straightening her posture. "I came to remind you that Messrs Potter and Malfoy are to be married today and that you have been selected as best persons of the grooms." She turned to leave and glared back at Severus. "Do not be late, Professors."

The door clicked shut. I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me. I was in a fit, leaning into the man at my side. "Oh, Severus, she'll be angry for days!"

He shrugged, laying a gentle kiss on my lips. "I hardly think she is going to act on her frustration with me. She never has before."

He caught my hand, lacing his fingers with mine. I sighed, leaning further into him, admiring the ring on the fourth finger of my left hand while my right one was tightly held in his. "I'm a teacher... I'm actually a teacher." I turned to look at him. "And engaged!" I jumped into his arms, finally letting the covers fall. No need for modesty now, it was only the two of us.

He allowed a small chuckle leave his body, a sweet sound of serenity caressing my ears. "That you are, poppet."

I rested in his arms a moment longer before deciding to dress for the day. "Do you think this dress is appropriate? I haven't really been to many weddings and they didn't specify a dress code other than black."

The Potions' Master snorted from the lavatory. "Thank Merlin for that."

I rolled my eyes. He was so dramatic at times. He walked out of the washroom, tucking in the last of his cravat, when he stopped dead in his tracks. I finished with the string decoration around my waist, looking up at him. "I thought this was a wedding, not a funeral." Unnerved by the fact that he hadn't yet reacted or moved, I raised an eyebrow in a manner similar to his own. "What are you gawking at?"

He seemed to snap out of a daze and in one sweeping step, his arms were wrapped around me solidly. It appeared he couldn't keep his hands off of me. Not that I minded, of course.
