Amber Williams (7)

I put the key into the ignition and reverse out of the drive way while I pressed on her name again and the phone starts to ring, promising. Like the seven times before, but with no answer.

If something happened to her .Her dad will kill me. My dad would kill me.

I left her house nearly two hours ago. After she fell asleep in my truck and ended up moving closer to stealing my heart,I mean body heat.

I shake my head,"Don't you dare go losing it."

I came out of my thoughts. I saw the head lights of a truck a few feet in front of me

I swirled out for it going back into my line.

Losing control over the car while it starts to spin out of control

It just kept spinning around on the wet gravel.

The tires not managing to get grip and stop.

Gripping the  steering,I try not to turn it any other way.

Missing a tree by  inches I stop. With my two left wheels against the pavement.

I let out a shaky breath, putting my head down on the steering wheel.

I put the car in gear and pull  away on to the deserted street once again. The wheels scratching against the pavement setting up the smell of burned tires.

Realising I have been holding my breath, I breathed out slowly as I pick up speed.

I turn the volume button on the radio, trying to let the music calm me.

"This is Shawn Hook with Reminding"

All ready liking the song I kept listening. And yes it is because of the name thing.

Taping on the steering as I drive I stopped at a stop  sign and drove again.

Ping

I hear my phone and starts to search for it. Looking for the light,I find it at my feet.

It's a message from my dad.
I saw you left and I just wanted to warn you .Neighborhood security send out a message about a drunk  man driving down Mellow street, possible suicidal. Please be careful.

Looking at the street name,Mellow street and back down on the screen and for the first time in my life started to question the facts the neighborhood security provides the people.

Taking a turn at the last stop sign. I'm only a few blocks away from Amber.

Slowing down I drive slowly until I stop in the drive way.

I knock on the door and again and again. Did she leave again?
I tried to open the door but it was locked. I walked around the house and tried the back door with no luck either.

I walk back around the house and tried to think where she could be. Looking around I saw the garage door, pulling on it,it opened.

Looking around in the garage,I didn't see her bike but I did notice that this is the smallest garage I've ever seen.

Walking through the door in the far corner I walked straight into the kitchen.

Hearing a strange noise I walked in further. Walking into the living room I pick up the remote and mute the TV.

Hearing a strange noise again,I immediately know it's Amber.

Running up the stairs I began to look into every room. Until my eyes landed on her,on the floor.
