18.Rules to break

"I'm sorry" Shawn whispered,still a little out of breath. A few inches from my face.

I stood there still in his arms,looking up at him,"it's fine" I said back matching his tone but not one of us moved. We just stood there looking at each other.  Like it's the first time we see each other.

I hear voices outside the door and I know Shawn hear them to because his arms fell to his side.

I took his arm and pulls him into the kitchen. Opening the fridge I give him a soda too. He takes it from me and take a seat opposite me. Just as my dad walks into the kitchen with his dad following suite.

"Hey honey" my dad says,walking to me. Kissing me on my forehead.

"Hello Shawn" my dad greets him and shake his hand.

Ryan walks over to me giving me a hug" hey Amber" he greets

"Hey Ry"

"Just don't tell me you two skipped class together" Ry asked in a serious voice.

We looked at each other but before we could even start to deny our dad started to laugh.

"Did you see the looks on their faces Ry?" My dad laughed.

When they sobered up Ry spoke again,"But i'm glad I found you here."

"Me and Ry where just at a dart team meeting and we found out where the finals are gone be held this year." My dad went on.

"We're taking a 11 hour flight to some city in a land we've never even heard of but apparently plays some of the best darts in the world"He continued.

"And it gone be for a  weekend,sort of. Were leaving Thursday and returning on Wednesday"

"And that is why we decided that the two of you are gone look after each other. You're gone  choose a house to stay at and hopefully still go to class and not do anything irresponsible. "Ry enlightens us with the detail.

" but what about Samie?" Shawn asked his dad.

"She is gone stay over at the neighbours" Ry answered

Shawn nodded in approval

"When is this tour?" I asked.

"In two weeks or fourteen days" My dad break it up for me

"But do we have to stay at one house, can't we just see that the other one is okay the next morning or eat dinner together or something?" I asked.

"You want to have dinner with me,just ask" Shawn said arrogant.

I gave him a stern look," I mean yeah, can't we just check up on each other, like via diary, Right Amber?"

I felt like I was barried alive, looked over at him and he just sat there smiling at me.

"Whatever it is that you kids are on about,it's a no go" Ry said.

"Lets lay down some ground rules.
1. You have to be in the same house at least ten hours a night
2.You have to sleep in separate beds and if you end up in the same one, please be careful, like wear clothes or something.
3.No parties in the houses
4. Stay within the boarder
And 5. Don't kill each other or try not to." My dad finished holding his hand he count on in the air.

I break three of those rules on my own on a daily bases,sometimes .
