36. Goodbye daddy

"Socks?"

"Check"

"Jacket?"

"Check"

"Towel?"

"Check"

"Toothbrush?"

"Dad?"

"Almost" he said, walking into his bathroom.

"Check"

I rolled my eyes and smiled at him.

"My turn" he said.

"Dad I'm a few streets away from home not half way around the world" I says, looking at him.

"I know but remember  a few streets or half way around the world you stay at Shawn's" he says with a strict voice.

"I know dad"

"Okay, lets get the bags in the car and get going." He said and grabbed his two suitcases of his bed.

I followed him down the stairs and grabbed my suitcase at the bottom.

"How many times are you planning to come back?" He asked, measuring my small suitcase with his eyes.

"Dad, I know the rules." I simply answered.

We put the bags in the car and drove over to Shawn's house.

The taxi was already in the drive way when we got there.

I got out of the car and walked towards the Plums who was standing next the taxi in the drive way.

"Hey Ry" I greeted him with a hug.

Sammie jumped into my arms and I hugged her tightly.

I looked over to Shawn,"Hey Shawn"

"Hello Amber" he said with a mischief smile.

"You kids all good?" Ry asked

We all nods our heads.

He kneels down to Sammie, "Remember what I told you princess okay?"

She just nods with tears in her eyes. He picks her up and stand up straight," I love you princess " he said while she is still holding on to him, with her head on his shoulder.

"I love you too daddy" she sobs out.

He rubs her back and kisses her on the temple,"Goodbye princes " he whispers to her.

"Goodbye daddy"

She went straight into Shawn's arms,laying her head down on his shoulder. Hiding her face in  his neck.

He looks up at Shawn," Remember to take her to the neighbors on Thursday."

He gave Shawn half a hug,"take care of our baby"

"Travel safe dad".

They pull apart," love u son"

"Love u to dad"

Ry gives me a hug,"take care of each other "

"You to Ry"

My dad gives me a hug," Be safe honey "

" you to dad"

"I love you" he said and hold me tighter for a minute.

Trying not to cry I whisper back,"love you too dad"

He let me go and turn  around, "Shawn take care of them" he said and shook his hand.

He looks at Sammie sleeping on his shoulder and kisses her on her cheek.

He turns and look at the driver who is reading newspaper. He looks back at me and immediately turns around again, grabbing the newspaper through the open window. Reading the  article.

He look up at me and his face is full of emotion,"Amber Williams the Queen of racing decrowned Jack Miller not only a few weeks ago but was also seen with Jack Miller and several unknown individuals recking the local collage football field with lawnmowers"

He turned the newspaper around and there's a photo of me and Jack next to each other.

"Go lay Sammie down" Ry says to Shawn
