Waking to the early morning sun on her face on Ye Huas Mount Jun Ji home, Bai Qian lazily stretched her arms up above her head before opening her mouth wide and releasing a gaping wide yawn. Then snapping her mouth shut and letting her arms fall heavily at her side, she opened one eye and then the other to a loud burst of laughter.
"Qian Qian.........." Ye Hua laughed shaking his head in wonder at her.
Having woken at dawn as was his habit, Ye Hua had prepared breakfast but seeing as she wasn't going to wake any time soon, he resigned himself to watching her sleep. Resting against the foot of the bed, his smile grew as she shifted to roll onto her side with her hands tucked up under her cheek. She looked so beautiful and so innocent when she slept, he could have sat and watched her all day. And having been at his Mortal Realm home for a week already, his morning ritual was becoming a habit.
He loved the way her nose would sometimes twitch when she slept, and the way her small hand would unconsciously swipe away an imaginary stray strand of hair, or the way her eyes would squeeze tightly, or her brows raise slightly before relaxing and he would wonder what she was dreaming about.
But what he loved the most about her, was her ability to make him laugh without even trying. Even when she slept, her little quirks made him chuckle, in fact he hadn't laughed so much in all his life.
For a woman who came from one of the most refined families of their world, she was anything but.
Not only did she not bother to cover her mouth when she yawned, but her habit of running about the house in her undergarments without a care in the world still shocked him, not to mention her most un-ladylike way of scratching herself in places only men did in front of others, and her somewhat unsavory vocabulary sometimes left him speechless, but she never held back on saying exactly what was on her mind but the most surprising of all, was her ability to handle large quantities of alcohol, though the one time he had tried to limit her drinking, she refused to talk to him for a whole day until he gave in. She was herself, there were no pretenses, what you saw was what you got, and it was what he loved the most about her.
"Good morning Ye Hua." She smiled up at his laughing eyes as she sat up.
Pulling her up gently, he wrapped her up in a tight embrace before kissing her lips lightly.
"Good Morning my little Troll. Did you sleep well?" he asked before jerking back laughing at her attempt to hit him.
"Ye Hua!" she cried out in indignation, but unable to hold in the soft giggling she hugged him back instead.
"Breakfast is ready, and the hot tub is full." He said pulling her out of bed and onto her feet.
"I'm cold." She groaned, trying to get back into bed, but laughing he shook his head at her. Though, reaching down, he snatched up a warm blanket and wrapped it around her shoulders.
"You need to eat Qian Qian. You haven't had anything since yesterday afternoon." He berated her gently while leading her to the table where he had already dished her bowls with a solid mix of healthy and nutritious fruits, vegetables, rice and nuts.
"That's because I wasn't hungry Ye Hua." She groaned because she still wasn't all that hungry. "Besides, I want the bath first." She said steering herself out of arms reach and heading straight for the hot tub."
Shaking his head at her, he followed behind her not prepared to give up. "Qian Qian, you're far too thin. Really! Do you eat anything other than Loquats?" he asked frowning at her nonchalant shrug of her shoulders.
Rolling her eyes at him, she sighed softly to herself. It had become a daily topic and one that was beginning to get on her nerves.
She had never worried about her weight or figure before, it had never seemed to be an issue until now. Her parents never worried otherwise they would have said something, and seeing as they didn't, she never considered that there was a problem, and she still didn't.
