Qing Qiu
Storming straight passed Mi Gu, Ye Hua flew into the Den and straight towards Bai Qian only to have his way instantly blocked by the Empress. Having felt his energy pass through the barrier the moment he arrived, she immediately prepared herself as his energy rapidly grew closer.
With a smile on her face, she quietly took his arm and led him to Bai Zhis study for a little talk, or in anyone elses language, a talking to while leaving Bai Qian flustered having also felt his energy arrive, and about to throw herself at him, it was rather disconcerting to see her mother lead him away without even a greeting, even more so with that smile on her face, which instantly raised her nervousness for Ye Hua. Her mother was up to something, and not being able to prevent what was about to happen, whatever it was, she was left in the main den to anxiously await his return.
Sitting him down at the desk as a privacy barrier went up, she took her husbands seat and faced him directly.
Though having said nothing and with a confused frown on his face as his mind went back to what he could have possibly done to offend her or what mischief he may have caused to find himself in a private meeting with his soon to be mother in law, Ye Hua began to squirm. Of the entire Fox Clan, she was the one he was the most afraid of, even more than Mo Yuan.
"Now, I have two very important issues to discuss with you and both of them are connected so I want you to listen very carefully to what I have to say." she said with the same smile on her face.
"I know you are excited about your wedding day and finally taking Bai Qian as your wife, however, as her husband there are certain duties you will need to perform, not only for The Celestial Tribe, but also Qing Qiu. And as the Empress of Qing Qiu I have certain expectations that I expect you to meet in order for those duties to be fulfilled." she continued confusing him as she went.
"That being the ability to not only bring joy and happiness to my daughter, but I also expect you to cherish and love only her." she said pointedly but seeing the continued look of confusion on his face, she spelled it out for him.
"I know it is common for you Celestials to have a harem, however, I must warn you now, Bai Qian will not tolerate it and as a friend, let me give you some advice. Do not even think about it, because the marriage will be over before it begins." she said keeping the smile on her face, one he was now familiarizing himself with.
Because regardless of what she said, that smile was not friendly, in fact it was her 'you better listen and do as you're told or else.' smile, and one that made him even more afraid of her.
And knowing too that she was not done talking, Ye Hua instinctively knew to say nothing and just listen.
"Now, we are a 'one person for eternity' people, we do not share our beds with any other. Though you are both lucky in that you found love before marriage, so this will definitely bode well for the future, and it is this reason that I raise this issue with you Ye Hua and going by that look on your face I can see this is something you have not even considered let alone talked about." she said sighing, because she was right, they had been so busy with bodily pleasure, the thought of his harem had completely slipped Bai Qians love induced mind.
And that brought her to her next point. "Love Ye Hua, is a grand thing, however when shared with more than one woman, it weakens so it is safe to assume that the more women you add to your bed, the weaker it becomes until all you are reduced to is a marriage of quilt tossing without the deeper connection that a marriage of eternity must thrive on in order to create the stable foundations needed for the future generations." She said all in one breath, which he was now beginning to slowly understand where she was going with what was now looking like a well rehearsed speech.
