"We do not tolerate someone or anyone being late at this school. I do not care if your nice. I do not care if your car broke down. I do not care if you were having a good time. I do not care if your sorry, if you don't get here on time your in trouble," Our teacher Mrs. Maxine finished sternly. "We are so sorry," Emily said. "It won't happen again," I promised finishing Emily's sentence. She looked at us as if she had no emotion. "Like I said, I don't care if your sorry. Go to the principles office." We left open mouthed out of the class room and shut the door. "Let this be an example for all of you, not to be late" We heard her tell the rest of the class. "This is not fair. We are new students. Be a little flexible" Emily said. "Yeah, we ran here as soon as the bell rand. Plus, we could have been lost. After all we are NEW" I said, bumping up my friends point. Right in front of us was the door that said the horrid words, Principles Office. Emily and I looked at each other, swallowed hard then walked in. "Hello. Who is it?" Principle Tasha asked. "I am Emily and this is Ivey" Emily said while I stood there trying to gather words to speak. "Do you need help?" she asked. "No, we were late to Mrs. Maxines class," I stammered out. "Ah, I see. Even though you are new I still have to send you in the back room. There is someone in there, keep him company and I'm sure he will do the same. I will go talk to Mrs. Maxine and see if I can ease the punishment" she finished. "Thank you" Emily and I said at the same time.

They have barely been in this school thirty minutes, yet they are already at the principles office.

Question of the chapter: Have you ever been sent to the principles office, because you were late or did something bad?

I have not.
