Pet Land

After waiting for about an hour, the manager, who's a girl, came back with our papers. "Alright, I talked to the owner and he is very happy to hire you." She gestures for us to follow her.

"Are you both avaliable tomorrow at, let's say, three thirty? I need to take photos and give you your schedules."

"Yeah!" Kyle and I said at the same time. "Great. See you tomorrow." And at that we left. "So, Emily. I was wondering if you wanted to go get something to eat," We made eye contact. "Nothing fancy or anything, like a fast food," He quickly said.

"I think so. I'll have to ask my parents," After that I texted my parents. If I called them, that would get awkward, well more than it is already.

"Yeah, I can. They said it is fine." Kyle took my to none other than McDonalds. "I come here so often that it's like my second home," I say, half laughing. "Same here."

We finish and walk back to our houses. "Ivey.." Kyle trails off. "Are we official?" As soon as he asked that I was caught off guard. "Um, uh. I mean, would like to be official." I say with clear love in my eyes.

Kyle looks at me the same way he did when we first kissed. "Then let's make it official," He said as he pulled me close for a kiss.

*Skip One Week, the Day Before Valentines*

After school Tuesday I come home and text Kyle.

Kyle and Ivey's Texts

Me: Hey.

Kyle: Hey. I can't wait to see you tomorrow, for more than one reason.

Me: Well then, name them all.

Kyle: Ok

Kyle: 1. Your cute. 2. I can't wait to see you. 3. I am dieing to give you my Valentines Day present.

Me: And I can't wait for the same reasons.

Kyle: Sorry. I have to go. See ya around.

Me: Bye.

OMG. I FORGOT ABOUT VALENTINES DAY. I'm such an idiot, I need to go shopping right now.

"Mom, I am going to the store," I yell, heading for the door. "Oh. Ok, but be back before dinner," She yells back. "Alright," I say as I walk out.

I go through the WHOLE store and find nothing. I am an idiot. I don't even know what he likes. Well, he likes hats. That's a start. Then, I'll get him some candy. I remember him eating chocolate when some of his other friends gave him some.

I found a light blue hat, which is the color Kyle wears the most, and some chocolate.

I raced home in fear of missing dinner. I quickly open the door and accidentally slam it shut. As soon as I walk into the kitchen to see how much time I had left, I heard the timer.

I ate, took a shower, and went into my room. I am wiped out. Why am I so tired. I dosed off and fell asleep.
