As we walked back to my house I tried to think of a way out of Emily's statement. I mean she had me good. "Alright, fine. High school is not THAT bad, but it is not that great, either." After hearing that, Emily walked so happily, knowing she was right.

When we got back my mom raced to the door. "You guys arrived just on time. Dinner starts in one minute" my mom says as she walks back into the kitchen. "We got to hurry" I say as I run upstairs. We put everything in the right place as soon as possible.

"What is for dinner Mrs. Parson?" Emily asked very politely. "Sweetie, you don't have to be so polite, but we have having tacos. I heard from Ivey that you loved them a lot," my mom replied. I blushed. "That is very generous. Thank you," Emily said.

We all had a bite of out tacos and the were amazing, but Emily's eyes went wide open. "These... are... the best tacos EVER," Emily exclaimed, once she finished her bite. "You just made my day," my mom said very happy and proud. "Ivey made them up from scratch. She did not even find a recipie online" my mom said. And at that Emily stared at me. "Can-" I cut her off. "Of course you can have the recipe." I smile.

The next day we got up at six and left at seven. I know, I know. We are getting there extremely early. Emily and I are going to get there early so we can talk to Kyle. We have not heard from since the park. I am starting to get worried.

We sat down in our class at seven thirty. Emily and I were talking for about ten minutes when Kyle walked in.

"Hey guys" Kyle said as he sat down. "I haven't heard from you since about three days ago," I said, with some worry sneaking into my voice. "Yeah, you ok?" Emily asked. "I am fine. I just needed to help my dad with work," Kyle said, just as cute as ever. "Ok" Emily and I said at the same time. "Jinks. Double jinks. Black-out. You owe me a soda, one, two, three-" We burst out laughing once Kyle started half laughing, half smiling. "You guys are funny. I need to hang out with y'all more often," he said once we finished laughing.

After that school had officially began. We had History, Geography, Orchestra, English, Lunch, Science, and then Math.

Ivey and her Mom's Text

Ivey: Mom, remember Kyle.

Mom: Yes. Is somthing wrong?

Ivey: No. Emily and I were just wondering if we could invite him over for dinner.

Mom: Sure. Tell him we are having hamburgers.

Ivey: Ok, thanks.

Mom: No problem. What time are you going to be back?

Ivey: Thirty minutes to an hour. Bye.

Mom: Ok. Bye.

I told Emily what my mom had said. Then we went over and asked Kyle. "I don't have anything. Sure, I'll come. "

After that we left for my house. YES. MY CRUSH IS EATING DINNER WITH ME. Oh, I wish Kyle loved me, too.

Once we arrived at my house we went inside and played video games. "Dinners ready," my dad called. We sat down at the table and dug in. "These hamburgers are very juicy" Kyle complimented. "Agreed" Emily and I said at the same time. Us three laughed and had fun, as friends.
