"I'M WHAT??!!!!!!" oh no this cannot be happening not again. I sat up on the table and my Dr said "Your not going anywhere. I have to admit you." Tears started to form, but then I thought I have to be strong for my baby. Fight for him Tia was all I was thinking.
I called my mom. " Sheilla (I don't call her mom anymore that's my name for her lol) I'm admitted Dr. Checked me and he said I was dilated to a 5/6" I said. "Are you serious?" She asked. I told her what hospital we were in and hung up. I called my husband next. He sound a little hurt but he was glad we were okay. He told me he was headed up to the hospital. Next I called my patients mom to let her know that I was now admitted. I wouldn't know how long I would I would be away from work. My patient was a little sad but she told me to get better!
It was around 7pm when my mom, husband and sister arrived. I was laying back watching abc family. They walked on the room. "Hey y'all" I said excited to see them. " I brought u some clothes and your personal stuff." My mom said. "Thank you so much Sheilla you were looking out for a sister" I said. " Now what's going on?" She asked. I told them how I was at work earlier and went to the bathroom room and noticed brown stuff, I got here he checked me an bam I'm dilated to a 5/6. My husband looked scared. My sister was scared because she didn't fully understand what was going on ( she was 11 at the time). My mom jumped on the phone and called all the family.
My Dr. Walked in and shook everyones hand. He explained to us that a specialist would be in in the morning and he already put in an order for him to do a cerclage. "What is a Cerclage?" I asked him. "Its a stitch that goes around your cervix. Think of it as a draw string bag" he said.
We all looked at each other hoping for the best!
