Ariel's POV
When Benjamin saw me, he smirked before moving shifting himself and sat on my seat. Annoying dude. Must he really piss me off so early in the morning?
"Seriously?" I spat when I reached my seat. I saw a grinning Benjamin look up at me, then he nodded like a child. "Yeah why Alex?"
"Because you are apparently pissing me off right now? And I really hate you and you are irking me right now so get off my seat and you're calling me Alex again. Shoo shoo shoo!" I shooed him away but to no avail, annoying that he was calling me 'Alex'. Doesn't he kow that i know there are many 'Alex' people in this world? Sigh. He just gave me a pitiful look. "Didn't we agree to call a truce or something? Like I don't hate you and you don't hate me?" "Yeah, only for yesterday," I smiled and replied sweetly. He sighed and just stood for maybe 5 minutes before he finally relented and gave a childish smile, "Look at your face. That's why I love to annoy you." I just realised I had been frowning the whole time. He hit me lightly on my shoulder before finally moving to his seat. I couldn't help laughing. This is my weakness. I tend to laugh no matter what people do to me. I call it 'being optimistic'. Benjamin stole a glance at me. "That too. I like making you laugh," he smiled.
Before I could give a response, the Math teacher came. His name was Chris, but I am so not going to call him that. One- I hate that guy. Two- He hates me too. So I'm not gonna do whatever he wants m to. As if I care.
"Okay everyone take out your notes and stop talking! Alexis and Benjamin, I'm giving the two of you one last chance and stop talking now," the annoying guy said.
Seriously? There were many others talking, like Cheryl and Jasmine at the back row or maybe the guys and girls flirting with each other or something, but why us as example? See, that guy hates me and I know he can't wait to get rid of me. Well, me too. And now half the class was staring at us.
"Wow, I'm so honoured to be given a second chance," I angrily muttered. Benjamin must have had caught it, because he started to snicker.
"Okay two of you back of the class now!" he said again. "What?! Why?" I shouted in protest. He just shook his head and pointed a finger to the back of the class. Oh, I would also love to point the finger in front of his face.
Benjamin just shook his head in mock frustration before mouthing, "Again?" Yeah, not the first time to stand at the back of class...
"Although you don't really deserve it, but sorry for dragging you down with me and always standing behind with me." I gave him a straight face. I was kind of guilty that Benjamin usually had to stand behind class with me. The thing is, I swear that I could see something within his eyes light up as I apologised, but I dismissed that brief thought.
"Hurry up!" the annoying voice said.
After grabbing my pen and notes, I looked at Benjamin. He stood up and I followed suit. What happened next was although brief, but something I couldn't forget. Benjamin grabbed my hand and squeezed gently and walked to the back of the class! As if comforting me.
But that little act caused tingles to run from my hand to all parts of my body, causing a cold sensation that I have never felt before. He let go of my hand when we reached to the back.
Wait what?
I looked at Benjamin, but he only gave me his playful smile, like as if nothing had happened. Unsure of what to do, I smiled back. I looked at my hand. My right hand, to be exact. The feeling was still there.
For the whole Math period, I was just wondering why he did that. For once, I didn't even mind standing.
