Chapter 8☆

Alexis's POV

It has been a week of lazing around at home. Doing nothing productive. I wake up, then I brush my teeth, then I check my phone, then I eat breakfast- usually Mum cooks eggs and bacon or French toast. Mmm... I like Mum's cooking. Then I go up to my room and catch up on my dramas, which I have wanted to do for a long time but then I had a lot of homework so I'm doing it during this holiday. Then I eat lunch then I take a shower then I eat dinner after a while. Then I watch some TV then I go to sleep.

Ok that was about what I did for 5 days in a row. Interesting? I know. But if I continue this routine, I may get fat.

So on the Monday of the 2nd week, I forced myself to wake up early to go to the park. And try to exercise. Try.

Guess what I did.

I ended up waking a bit late, wore shirt and shorts and went to the park. Not to exercise, but meet up with Cheryl and Jasmine. We met up in the park, yes, but ended up eating at this nearby restaurant that served awesome pancakes. I ordered blueberry pancakes.

Maple syrup was generously drizzled over the hot steaming plate of blueberry pancakes. The scent of pancake wafted to my nose. My mouth was watering, and so were the other two that we're staring at my pancakes. I grinned cheekily as I dug in.

When everyone's breakfast has arrived and there was silence as everyone ate their amazing meals, Cheryl asked,"How's life?"

"I think I got fatter from lazing around the past week." I shrugged.

"No, I mean our love lives," Cheryl said slowly.

I almost choked. "Where is this conversation getting to?"

"John just asked me out. I said yes." Cheryl said slowly.

"Hey congrats! Do you like him?" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Yeah...."

"Then... When is it?"

"Today."

"Hey, can we go to your house and doll you up?" I teased.

"Why not? I need advice by the way and I'm so damn nervous right now," she bit her lip as she said.

"Then it's decided!" I said as I updated Mum.

After eating we went to Cheryl's house. Luckily, we all live near each other and I live near the park so it didn't really take long.

Hours later, Cheryl was all dressed up and ready to go.

"You look so pretty!" Jasmine gushed.

Cheryl blushed.

"Hey, remember to tell us all about it later okay?" I smiled.

"Is it because you wanna know what happens in a date????" Jasmine stuck out her (index) finger and looked at me, a glint in her eyes. She continued,"You know, you are like the only one left who hasn't had a boyfriend..."

"Okay you can shut up now." I glared playfully.

She laughed.

As John arrived at Cheryl's doorstep and drove away, I couldn't help feeling.... jealous. Jasmine was right... When is it going to be my turn?\
