"Oh fuck me." The alarm caused the phone to vibrate vigorously until i swiped it off. Forgot to turn it off yesterday.
Time to find a job.
I was just sitting there, readjusting my eyes and had a sensation. Why do I feel sticky? Checked my drawers only to realize, again,I had a wet dream and didn't remember a thing that happened. Groaning and grumbling in anguish, i flopped across my bed.
I needed a shower anyway. Before i could step on the cold tile flooring my phone played the ringtone. Right on time, correction, always.
"Did you listen to that link?"
I started the shower, making sure it was hot enough to scald my sins away. "Yeah, you sounded hot, as usual." The voice in phone was rattling like a maraca. "Very convincing. But seriously Eden, what did you think?"
I was brushing my teeth.
"Edenn." I spat out the crest, "if you want my honest opinion, it was kinda off key. In a good way, like ari lennox. Y'know." I stuck the brush back in to shut up and await the dramatic response. A minute went by and nothing. Two. I had to check if she was still on the phone. And she was.
"Redd? Hello? Helloo?"
She was humming in agreement. She agreed? No swearing? "That was the plan." Thank god, because I really didn't want to upset her. "So what's on the agenda for today?" She was typing away on her laptop, the pecking following a rhythm with the harsh hit of the space bar. "Homework. You know anyone who needs a edge up that won't be all, I swear allegiance and loyalty upon my barber?"
"I don't know, I'll ask around. We still on for later?"
She stopped typing. Funny. Redd was caught by surprise, it wasn't like she didn't want to. But she did not want to leave her bed unless she absolutely had to. I mean shit, it was close to freezing and the wind was blowing. This would be the third time if she decided to stay home. "Yeah, we're still on." I was planning on making her make up for all the missed time we couldn't be absolute asses together.
"Aight, see you tonight."
