"Castiel," I sighed "So, you'd really do this to your own sister?"
"I've killed my brothers and sisters before. Capturing one isn't a problem." He lifted me from the ground.
"Gah. Watch the wound, will you?" I grunted. He shifted his left hand to wrap around my right arm along with his other hand. I wrenched my arm from his grasp. Big mistake. The bullet in my wound shifted, making my arm burn intensely. I yelled out and Castiel covered my mouth.
"Shh." I bit his hand, making it bleed. But, it disappeared as soon as it appeared. Someone came up behind me and the back of a gun came into contact with my head. Everything was black. When I regained consciousness, I was strapped to a chair, with a bright light in front of my face.
"So, you're awake." I tried to see through the light, but all attempts failed.
"What do you want with me?" The voice chuckled.
"Oh, nothing much. We just want to know what you want with Cas."
"You do not have clearance to that information."
"Very well." I felt an all too familiar pain ripple through my left hand. Someone had shot another bullet, this time through my hand. I clenched my teeth together so as not to scream out in pain. The person went out, and another person entered.
They removed the light from my face. It was the tall man. What was his name again...Sam? He took out some tweezers and a pocketknife. he cut my hand and removed the bullet. My hand healed and I couldn't feel a thing. He started to exit the room. But, he stopped before he exited.
"You know, it'd be better just to tell us. Besides, I'm sure you don't want to kill him. If you tell us everything, we can help you." I stayed quiet and closed my eyes, trying to block out the voices. He sighed and went out, shutting the door behind him. I reopened my eyes, looking at my arm. Someone had removed the bullet from there too. I heard a familiar flutter of wings. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"What do you want?"
"The same as the others. To know why you wanted to kill me."
"I...I can't say."
"Can't, or won't?" He asked.
"Both," I responded coldly. He nodded slightly. I growled in irritation, mostly at myself.
"Forget it. I can't bear it anymore. Look, I didn't want to do it, but, they threatened to torture you if I didn't kill you. I'll admit, I wasn't planning on the old fella or the younger hunters to be here. I was hoping you'd be alone."
"So, no matter I'd be dead. No. As long as you didn't watch me suffer."
"At first yes. But, then, I thought about it some more. I thought I might be able to get you to listen, and we'd be able to fake your death. Then, you could live in peace, and I wouldn't have an actual death to add to my guilt." I finished. Of course, I would never be able to kill him. After all, Father would probably have destroyed me if I killed one of his favourite children.
"I have an idea. Let me go back. I'll refuse to kill you. If they kill me, so be it. I deserve it for all my crimes."
"No. I won't allow you to give yourself to them."
"Why do you care? I am a murderer. I killed all our brothers and sisters who sided with you and countless humans."
"So have I."
"Hm. Yes. I seem to recall the incident when you became God and were possessed by Leviathan souls." We were both silent for a while. Castiel then spoke, breaking the silence.
"Well, whatever your plan is, first you'd better tell the Winchesters everything. You'll be freed and you won't hear from us again." I thought about this for a moment. I didn't mind the idea of not hearing from the Winchest-
"Did you say Winchesters? As in Sam and Dean Winchester?"
"Yes. Why?"
"Let's just say, if I'd known, I would have told them everything immediately. I guess next time I-no. There won't be a next time."
"What do you mean? You are going back to heaven, aren't you?" I sighed in defeat. There is no point in lying.
"Yes. To attend my execution. I have failed in my mission, and have 'joined the enemy'. So I will be executed. I guess this is goodbye. Forever. I know Father won't try to resurrect me. I've been on the wrong path for far too long." Something shiny slid down Castiel's face.
"OH DAD!!" Castiel looked at me in confusion.
"Is something wrong, Shadow?"
"Are you melting?" I asked trying to point out the weird liquid.
"No. I believe Dean called it 'crying'. It's something humans do when they're sad."
"You're sad? Why would you be sad?" I had no idea why he would be sad and crying.
"I don't know. Maybe I'll ask Dean."
"Right. And while you do that, I'll think about my explanation." Castiel nodded and exited the room.
