Chapter four
"Wake up Anastasia!" I heard someone shout as two hands shook me. I flicked my eyes open and saw Irvin looking panicked and worried all at the same time.
"Wha..?" I asked as I sat up and looked down at myself. "Why the bloody hell am I wet?" I screeched. I glared up at Irvin. He smiled cheekily.
"You were punching and kicking around. I thought you were having a bad dream." He explained and shrugged like it was nothing. Like me soaking wet was all nothing.
"....so you splashed me with water." I said with a 'what the hell Irvin' look on my face.
He nodded. "Pretty much."
"I hate you." I shook my head angrily as I narrowed my eyes at him. I slowly clenched my fists in anger. I am so going to make him pay back for this. I gave him a very cold and harsh stare.
"Well, I'm going out. No need to thank me though." He winked and turned around, heading for the door. I gawked at him as I watched his back make its exit. Oh, that was it. He did it, he pulled the trigger in me. I jumped with a roar and landed on him. Wow, I felt strong. We both fell to the ground and somehow, he managed to turn us both around. I was now underneath him and his arms were at either side of my head, trapping my hands. There goes my strong feels. He stared at me intensely, I was breathing hard as I stared back at him. I felt his every breath, I could almost hear his heart beat, and his eyes were so much better in this angle. I really thought I should be the one that was intimidating, this was quite unexpected. Our position looked weird especially because I was dripping wet.
"Well well well, look who thought could beat me to the ground." He smirked teasingly. I just rolled my eyes and struggled to wriggle my hands free from his tight grip.
"Let me go Irvin." I said, almost commandingly.
"How about, no." He whispered as he lowered his head to my face. He studied my face for a while and then he smiled. "You're nervous."
"I am not." I denied, my eyebrows furrowed. My face turned light red. Why in the world was I turning into some color?! I tried to keep a straight face although my heart was beating a thousand times a minute. "Look, just let me go."
As if our faces weren't close enough, he lowered it more towards my face. Maybe I should stop asking for him to let me go if I don't want his face digging through mine. "Why? You started this."
I looked at him for a moment. "I didn't! Ask yourself who poured the water all over me." I exclaimed.
He laughed but he didn't let go of my hands. "I did, but that was for your own sake." He continued laughing. "You should've seen your face when you realized that you were wet."
"Harr harr harr." I replied sarcastically. "Shut up loser, I'm going to get my revenge someday."
"Says someone who couldn't even sneak up properly." I rolled my eyes with a sigh. He was teasing me big time! I couldn't do anything about it because my hands were all locked up.
But...my feet aren't.
I smiled sweetly at him, he seemed surprised with my sudden change of mood.
"You know, you shouldn't be messing with me when my knee is perfectly leveled to your," I cleared my throat. "Thing." I smiled again as I felt him stiffen. Very good then.
"So... If I were you, I would let the girl go and continue with my pathetic life." I faked a grin. He sighed in defeat and looked down. He stayed like that for a few seconds. I wondered why he wouldn't just let me go, he knew that he was doomed anyway. He then raised his head with an evil smile plastered on his face.
