Yeyeyeye. Btw, this is THE THIRD OR FOURTH story that I made in my entire life. And none has been completed, so far. I've been going on and on and then I get bored and move to another idea. I have never finished a single story for once!

But anyway, Chapter six is finally here 😉 gaaah, thank you for 100+ reads! Haha, small achievement but whatever. Nevertheless, thank you. So much ❤️

Chapter six

I squinted again and focused my vision on the tree. But whatever I do, I see the same thing everytime. Was I hallucinating?

I turned my head to Danny. "Why... is the tree alive?" It almost doesn't sound like a question.

"What? Plants are really alive." Danny chuckled and smacked me softly on the shoulder.

"No no. Look." I point my finger towards the tree. The tree does not have any special characteristics, I noticed. It looks normal, but it was alive. I mean, truly alive. It has eyes. Danny followed gaze and smiled at herself.

"That's Kino. The tree that talks." She said, waving at Kino the tree.

I remained still and quiet for a second.

"He talks." My voice dropped into a whisper. Realization hits me with a pang and a tss. "He talks!" I screeched as I grabbed the shoulders of Danny. "What the hell is happening to me? And to you? Am I- am I imagining this? All of this? Why can the tree talk? Why is he talking? Did you- what the- I mean. Gaaah! How is he doing stuff like that? This is just plainly impossible!" My words came out in a rush.

Danny stared at me like I've said that Maushu just did a nude handstand in the garden.

"You need to stop being hysterical." She took my hands and brought it down. It swayed gently at my sides. "Breathe in." I did nothing. "Come on do it." She urged, I inhaled. "Breathe out." I exhaled.

"Good." She squeeked and clapped her hands rapidly like an excited little girl getting her first doll. She fixed my hair and tucked a stray lock behind my ear. "Now, let's go meet Kino."

She started to walk with my hand in hers but I yanked it back. "No way." I shook my head. "No way in hell."

"Why not?" She frowned.

"The tree freaks me out!" I whisper-yelled.

Also, I don't want to be anywhere near it.

I thought.

"It's a he, by the way." A deep voice boomed from somewhere.

My eyes grew in an instant. The hairs at the back of my neck stood up. "Who was that?"

"That tree you are freaked out about." It replied amusedly. I smacked my forehead.

"It's Kino isn't it?" I said to Danny although my eyes were closed.

She chortled at me. "Yes, it is him. Come on, you'll love Kino." She took my hand once again and pulled me towards the tree.

"Hi Kino! Long time no see!" Danny greeted cheerfully. She even hugged Kino. She hugged a tree.

Some weird shit.

"Yes." The tree chuckled. The floor seemed to rumble at his deep roar. "How are you, Danny?"

"Fine, really." She smiled. "You?"

"Fine." He said and looked at me. And I mean, really look at me. I felt a striking chill running down my back and leaving fire trails behind. His gaze made me uncomfortable. I glanced down and noticed gigantic roots sprouting from his trunk. Branches shot up from everywhere. Leaves were massive from below. His color was dark brown and he looked old.
