sleepy kisses | Chapter 13

Mike stays at wills house that night. It's way too dangerous for him to come back home. Joyce has talked with his mom about it and Mikes mom is okay with everything but she needs to calm Ted down and talk to him about everything before Mike can come home again.

(That night)

It's late at night but Will is awake, like always. The wind is getting stronger outside and will just lays there and listens to the storm. It's raining so much. He always feels a bit scared when there is a storm because he thinks about the upside down. He remember freezing and screaming for his mom. It felt like he was there for months but it was just one week. He has never been so scared. He also remeber thinking that he would never see mike again. That thought killed him inside.

Mike is sleeping next to Will, he crawled up into wills small bed as soon as Joyce said goodnight to the two boys and closed the door. Will looks at Mikes face and when he looks at his black eye it feels like a punch in wills heart. He hates to see Mike hurt. Will carfully gives Mike a kiss on the cheek.
He knows that Mike is sleeping but he still whispers
" i love you"

The next morning

" will wake up" Mike says and will slowly opens his eyes. He didn't get many hours sleep and he feels so tired.
Mike is sitting next to him.
" goodmorning Mike" will says with a sleepy voice.
" you know that you are really cute when you are sleeping right? " Mike asks and laughs softly.
" shut up Wheeler" will says and laughs.
" make me" Mike says.
" fine" will says back.

A few seconds later wills lips are on Mikes. He kisses Mike for a bit longer then usual. When the boys pulls away Mike is smiling very big.
" finally you shut up" will says and laughs.
Mike stays quiet and will feels so confused. Did he do something wrong? Did he kiss him for too long? Or was the kiss bad?
When he looks at Mike he sees that the black haired boy's eyes are filled with tears.
" i'm so sorry Mike did i do something wrong" will says with a bit of panic in his eyes.
" No will of course not" Mike says.
" its just that I love you way more then i've ever loved anyone before and i'm so happy that you love me back. This is not sad tears, its happy tears" Mike says with the softest voice ever and wills heart melts.
" stop Mike you are making me cry too" will says.
Mike pulls will into a tight hug.
After the hug the two boys just looks at eachother.
" i want to stay with you in this room forever." Mike says.
" i really wish we could" will says back with a sad smile on his lips.
Mikes takes wills hand in his and strokes the back of wills hand with his thumb and in that moment will forgets every single bad thing. He forgets that the whole school hates them. He forgets about his broken past with his dad. He forgets that they don't know if their friends will accept them. He forgets that Mikes dad wants them to be dead. He forgets every single bad thing that has ever happened in his life.

The only thing he can think of is how much he loves Mike Wheeler.
