I do not own Iron Man or Percy Jackson.

Takes place during Iron Man 1

Time: 0:49:00- 0:52:35

Tony's Age: 26 years old

Percy's Age: 40 mentally, wolf body 4 (thought to be 7 and a half years old--aging slowly)

When we got back I knew that I couldn't leave Tony alone, something felt off inside me that even the brief thought of just leaving Tony alone for a brief second, he'll collapse from some medical issue that wasn't checked.

Mostly because he smelt like he was still in pain, that the thing in his chest, while helping him, was also hurting him.

Because of this knowledge, I wasn't surprised to watch him go to the basement of the house (which was his workshop area) and start working on the schematics for a new and improved arc reactor that wasn't charged from a battery.

He had Jarvis put it in personal schematics so that it wasn't shared with Stark Industries, which also didn't surprise me, he never really liked handing stuff to other people.

Throughout the night and almost until just after the sun being up, he worked and created the new and improved arc reactor.

It wasn't until he was done that I demanded he sleep, he was obviously annoyed at me taking his hand (I grabbed it softly so I didn't break skin) and pulling him toward the doors that lead upstairs.

But in the end, as soon as he remotely stepped outside his workshop and the door behind him closed fully, Jarvis locked it and changed the password, quietly agreeing with me that Tony needed sleep before he did anything.

And while the man was still hesitant, both Jarvis and I knew he should be okay with a few hours of sleep that wasn't fueled from coffee.

I pushed him toward his bed where he ended up collapsing onto it with a sigh and a slight blissful expression from feeling the soft mattress underneath.

Ignoring how I wasn't supposed to be on the bed--and therefore ignoring Tony's muttered down--and instead curled beside him and laid my head on his chest just below his current arc reactor.

The man sighed and seemed too tired to argue, instead; he laid his hand on top of my head and, without realizing it, started to pet me head in small circles.

I didn't move until his breathing leveled out and the hand on my head stilled, letting me know that Tony was finally asleep.

Crawling slightly up the bed, I moved my head so it rested just against the space between his left shoulder and the arc reactor and finally let my eyes closed as the steady thumps under my ear let me know that Tony was okay.

Not truly alright, but okay, and will eventually get better. Especially with me by his side, just as the time in college, I wasn't going to let him alone.

I wasn't going to break my promise to Jarvis.

With those thoughts, I allowed myself into a light sleep, ready to wake in a moments notice if the thumping stopped under my ears.

It was after lunch but just before dinner that Tony woke back up, grabbed a coffee, and made his way back to his lab.

I was waiting around the chair of his desk as he laid upon this table, the new arc reactor right next to him on a small movable table.

As he sat the new arc reactor on the table, I felt a horrible feeling in my chest and knew something dangerous was about to happen.

It seemed that Tony had a similar feeling, or thought process, because he pointed toward the cage that was rarely used that was in the corner of the workshop.
