"Star, can you hear me?" Jason tried to push passed the pain and only focus on the overwhelming fear that held a death grip on her mind.

Star jerked against her restraints.
Whipping her head around, looking in every corner of the room.
"Who's there?" she whimpered.
I know I heard someone, she was thinking as her eyes continued to scan every inch of the room. But no one was there.

Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath.
Calm yourself down. I grumbled to myself.
Then it happened again. A strong male voice calling me, demanding that I answer.

"Star please. Sweetheart, answer me."

Sweetheart? Then it hit me, I knew that voice.
It was the one I'd heard before I passed out.
I could feel him pushing his way into my head. Then suddenly, strange feeling of joy settled over me, replacing the fear.

Jason let out a low rumble of happiness.
As the full weight of the connection settled over him.

Finally he could talk to her like she was standing right in front of him.

"Star, I need you to tell me how to get to you."
No answer.
I knew she could hear me.
"Answer with your mind, not your mouth," I grumbled at her.
"I don't know," she seemed to whisper her answer.

Could this really be happening?
I am really talking to some guy in my head, all while being tied naked to a table waiting for some twisted man to come back and kill me.
"I am really here," he replied.
I felt a wave of anger, stronger than anything I've ever felt rush into me.
"Your tied naked to a table?" He growled.
"Tell me where you are."
"I don't know," I all but yell inside my own head. "He drugged me."

Before I could tell her to just show me the room she was in she started to panic.
"He's back! Please help me!" she begged.
"He got a knife."
"Star, no!"
My head filled with her screams as a sharp burning pain tore its way down my leg.

The connection broke as another sharp burning pain bite into my side.
Once again I was left empty, fighting to Control my rage.

Jared watched as his friend stood up with a hollowed grief stricken look in his eyes.
His phone beep alerting him to an incoming text.
Thankful for a reason to look away, Jared opened the message.
A picture of a run down two story building popped up.
The picture of the orphanage, thank God.
Without a word Jared walked over grabbing John by the back of the shirt and Jason by the shoulder flashed all three of them to the front of the orphanage.

"What the heck?" John said. "This is no time for a snuggle Jared."
Laughing at his own joke John turn around.
"Oh..."
All three men stared at the run down orphanage.
"They let kids stay here," John said.
"It's a freaking dump."

Jason headed for the main entrance.
"Jason wait. It's gotta be well past one in the morning," Jared said.
"So what?" he growled.
"Someone's going to give me some answers right now!"
"I am not stopping you," Jared said.
"It's just maybe you should be a little more quieter, seeing as there's little kids sleeping in there."
"Fine," Jason said, slowing down.
The front wasn't lock as the made there way inside.
Inside the front door was what looked to be a small office.
They made there way passed the office and down a long hallway.
When they reached a large door John slowly pulled it open.
They were hoping to find who ever was in charge of this dump.
But instead they found at least twenty kids huddled together on the floor in a pile of blankets.
All three men stilled.
Shocked at the site.
Before they could recover a little girl, maybe four or five climbed out of her blanket and came to stand in front of them.

John's chest began to tighten.
The little girl in front of them was dirty and underfed.
She looked up at him with the biggest green eyes.
Then her stomach let out a loud rumble.

Jason and Jared watched in awe as John flashed out of the room.
The little girl began to quietly cry.
"What was that all about?" Jared said bending down and picking the girl up.
Snuggling her to his shoulder as he turned to Jason.
"He's never bailed on us before," Jason said.

John flashed back into the room holding a small container of milk and a sandwich.
Growling at Jared he walked over, taking the girl from him.
Jason and Jared exchanged glances as they watched John lower the girl to the floor.
Sitting down on his knees John gave the girl the sandwich.
After she'd had a few bites he gave her the milk.
Jared and I watched as the girl handed the milk back to John.
Then she ran over and uncovered another little girl.
Shaking her awake she pulled her over to John.
Her twin sister.
John handed what was left of the milk and sandwich to the second little girl.
We just watched as John interacted with the little girls.
"Do you know where the person in charge is?"
The girls both pointed to the door on the other side of the room.
Please don't wake him the girls cried out... As they ran behind John to hind..

John dropped to his knees and pulled the girls into a big hug.
Are you afraid of him?
They both answered yes and snuggled deeper into John's hug.
Why
He'll gives us to the bad man like he did star..
He said he would if we woke him up.
Jason blood ran cold..
Then sounds of splinter wood echoed around the room as Jason kicked the door.
Then all hell broke loose.
Kids jumped up screaming and crying.
Jason angry growling echoed off the walls as he
pulled a man back into the room.
Then just as fast as it started.
The kids went quite.
All three men turned to look at the kids.
They were all backing away trying to hid themself in a darker corner of the room.
All three men turned back to the man on the floor.
What the hell did you do to them..
John growled.
Jason reached down yanking the man to his feet.
Fully prepared to rip the man apart.
