Siobhan stalked down the corridor, stealthy as a cat. It was her second time in the corridor of dreams, but this time, she had a belt with her potions on. She was twice as powerful, and twice as deadly, as when she was here before.

She had already seen the minion and its clones twice.

Since she had entered this reality, six dreams had been destroyed. Hers was the next door along, and was where she was planning to kill the minion.

A few moments later, the group of minions/clones emerged from the door opposite. A red cross appeared on the door, and screams sounded from within. They slowly headed towards Siobhan’s door.

She waited a thirty seconds, after they had gone in, before following them.

Her own dream caused her to gasp.

She was standing in the corridor of dreams again, looking at herself, walking through the corridor. She shook her head to clear it.

Freaky, she thought.

The corridor in her dream was endless. The dream Siobhan kept walking, never stuttering, never pausing. That is, until all of the doors opened at once, and a thousand minions and clones emerged.

Dream Siobhan stopped in her tracks, her head down, her arms still by her side. Alternate-reality Siobhan saw her chance.

She took out her revealing potion and threw it in the air. None of the minions began to glow a faint red, as she had expected.

The minions/clones all turned towards dream Siobhan. She slowly pulled out a long sliver sword. It had a red wooden handle and came to a sharp point at the tip.

Alternate-reality Siobhan recognized this sword. Her father had kept it on the wall when she was little. She used to take it down and train with it in the middle of the night, without telling her parents, of course. Only David and Sabine had known. Her father found out when she accidently broke the TV during a training exercise.

Just as the real Siobhan was thinking this, the dream Sabine brought the sword over her head in a wide arc, finishing with it facing the minion.

“I know it was you. You're no minion.” Dream Siobhan said, her voice echoing in the passageway. “I could kill your friends, and they’d just die. They wouldn’t become two more. You’re a fraud.

That’s why it didn’t work, Siobhan realised. Wow. I’m smart in my dream.

Dream Siobhan turned to her.

“Did Elaine do as I said?” she asked, ignoring the enemies all around her.

“Yes. I have it here.” Siobhan pulled out the dragon blood.

“Well, you know what to do.” She swept her hand out, inviting her real self forwards.

“That I do.” She grinned at herself. “You might want to cover your ears.”

She threw the bottle in the air, chanting to herself, and the world exploded in a flash of blue and red.
