"Arin, are you sure I don't need to bring anything else? I can reschedule my flight and ship some stuff out today."

"Ellie,it's fine. You don't have to bring anything other that what you want to bring. Suzy and I have everything else already in your room."

"Thanks,Arin. You're the best." I sighed.

"Anyway,be safe. Call as soon as you can."

"I will. I'm getting ready to board soon."

Arin wrapped up our call shorty after and I sighed once more. I had been out to L.A. many times before but this felt different. It was different.

Different because I wasn't coming back. Now that my parents were gone,I didn't know what else to do. I know being 28 and still living with your parents is lame but it was my choice since both of them were sick.

But now was the time to venture off on my own. In reality,I wouldn't be,but I was leaving the only place I'd ever known. Arin and Suzy are all I have left in my life now.

I jumped and blinked back tears as my flight was called out for boarding. Here's go four hours of my life.

*3rd POV*

Arin ran his hand through his hair before standing to search for his wife.

"Suzy! Ellie's flight is leaving! She'll be here soon!"

"Do we have everything ready?" She called back.

"Yeah,we should." He replied, walking into the room she was in. "I don't want to overwhelm her when she gets here though. She's been through a lot lately."

"It'll be okay." She smiled before kissing his cheek.

Arin gave her a forced smile, thinking of his childhood friend.

Arin and Ellie had been friends since they were nine. Always together until Arin moved to California. Ellie was going to as well but her parents both got sick and needed her to stay. He couldn't imagine how she felt, losing both of them within the past year. He was glad he would get to see her on a regular basis again, but not under the circumstances.

Sighing,he gathered his things before heading to the Grumps office to work on something to pass the time.

A few hours later,Dan poked his head into Arins office.

"You're still here? I thought you had to pick up your friend."

"Shit!" Arin called out, jumping up.

"Whoa,I'm sure it's fine,dude."

"No,it's not. I said I would be there. Fuck."

"Who is it,anyway?"

"Ellie. She's moving in with Suzy and me for the time being."

Dan was curious now. He had heard some much about the woman that was Arins friend, but had never met her. Every time she was visiting,he seemed to be gone or sick in bed. He'd only ever seen pictures on Arin and Suzy's Instagrams. Even so,he thought she was beautiful, and sweet from the stories and short videos.

"Can I come?" Dan suddenly asked.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just hurry up. I'm gonna be late."

Dan smiled, following his friend down to his car.

*Ellie*

After landing, grabbing my bags and finally making it through the sea of people,I was outside. Arin said he would meet me in the pick up area there so he could just grab me and go. I agreed that would be easiest. We both had great timing too. He pulled up in front of me before someone got out. This someone was Danny. The only friend of Arins that I had never met since our paths never seemed to cross. He was tall, his floof on his head making him seem a little taller that he actually was. A grin graced his face as Arin popped the truck for me.

"I'll get those for you." Dan said, grabbing my three bags from me before opening the car door.

"Thanks." I muttered before getting in.

"How was the flight?"

"It was okay. Nothing to really talk about. It's great to see you again,Arin."

"You too,Elle." He smiled as Dan got back into the car.
