Chap 12

"Ellie!"

"Yeah,Holly?"

"We are going out tonight."

"Oh okay,cool. Who is 'we' exactly?"

"Us,Ross,Barry,Kevin. Danny said maybe."

"When you say out,you mean drinking,right?"

Holly nodded with a smile.

"Alright. Sounds fun. It's been awhile for me."

"Sweet. Suzy and Arin aren't going but the rest of us drink so they said we could bum rides from them if we need to and that they would drop us off. You need to do anything before?"

"Nope,not really. Just need to take my car home first."

Holly nodded,telling me to be ready around six before she walked off. Over the past week or two,we've started becoming closer as friends. I could tell Arin was happy I was comfortable and actually had other friends now.

I headed home from hanging around the office shortly after so I could get ready. I didn't bother with changing,but I grabbed a light jacket and slapped on some eyeliner after putting in my contacts. I switched out my regular phone case for my wallet case and moved everything that I would need for the ease of not carrying a bag and was ready to go.

On que, directly at six,Holly texted me to get outside. I slide into the backseat of Suzy's car to be greeted by the two as when as my phone buzzing. Danny had finally replied.

You're coming too?

Yeah. I'm not gonna miss a chance to see you drunk. Arins told some stories.

Oh God no.

I groaned. The three of us  chatted about this and that before Suzy dropped us off at a bar I didn't catch the name of. It wasn't packed but they're were enough people here. The guys were dropped off a few minutes later by Arin. Then Danny showed up on his own.

"Shall we?" Danny asked, leading the way.

As soon as we found a table, most of us just sat our stuff down before walking over to the bar.

"What do you want? I'll grab it." Danny said,motioning me to sit.

"I'll drink pretty much anything except beer."

Danny nodded before walking away.

"Stop staring at his butt."

"Fuck, Holly! Don't do that."

"I couldn't help it." She smiled.

Barry and Kevin came back at that time with a large tray of shots. All looked to be various forms of vodka and a few were whiskey.

"Ellie,have shots with us." Kevin whined,clearly already a few in.

I didn't reply just grabbed one and tossed it back. I smiled after.

"Damn." The two choursed, smiling.

Dan and Ross got back right after as Barry handed me another shot with a different colored liquid that before. The three clinked glasses before throwing them back.

That's how to night progressed,taking shots every five minutes or so and sipping on whatever drinks Dan kept getting for me. Safe to say,I was smashed about an hour in.

"Holly." I whined.

"What?"

"I have to pee."

"I got her." Danny said,clearly not drunk like the rest of us.

He pulled me up gently,before wrapping an arm around my waist.

"You're as red as a tomato." Kevin laughed.

"It's cause she thinks Danny's hot." Holly said in a singsong voice.

"Holly,shut up!"

Danny laughed but lead me away to the restroom. I managed just fine on own before walking out and falling into Danny.

"Careful."

"I'm sleepy."

"I'll take you home. Let's go tell the others."

So we did. They all bid us a good night before Danny lead me to his car and helped me in.

"Hey,Danny?" I said after a few minutes.

"What?"

"Holly wasn't lying. I do think youre hot."

"Well,duh." We laughed.

"If only I could tell you." I muttered,but I guess he heard me.

"Tell me what?"

"It's a secret." I giggled.

"Friends don't keep secrets from each other." He said,pulling into my driveway.

He helped me out and up to the door before unlocking for me.

"You wanna know the secret?"

He nodded with a slight smile.

"Okay,here's the secret."

I grabbed his face with both of my hands before I pushed my lips against his for a moment before pulling away.

"Don't Tell anyone." I giggled before going inside.

Danny stood on the porch for a few moments trying to process everything. Ellie had just kissed him.

Everyone knew he had feelings for the girl. He wouldn't shut up out her. But this...did it mean she had feelings for him too? Or was it just a drunken notion?

Danny quietly drove back to his home before going inside and calling Arin.

"Hey,dude."

"She kissed me."

"Whoa,what?"

"I took Ellie home tonight since she was hammered and helped her to the door and she kissed me."

"How long?"

"Like at least ten seconds."

"Oh shit dude."

"I'm gonna tell her."
