A day passed. That day quickly turned into a week, then two.

Multiple attempts had been made to get me out of the house, but all went ignored.

I had finally talked myself into going out to get coffee, since I didn't want to go to the store and I was out at home. Dressed in a plain tee,a pair of ripped skinnies and my vans,I pulled on a hoodie and some sunglasses before I left. Since it wasn't too far,I just walked, Hollywood Undead playing through my headphones.

The walk wasn't long, maybe fifteen minutes or so before I came to the shop I go to regularly. I paused my music before I headed to order. Standing to the side waiting for the employee to finish,I heard laughter that made me freeze.

Danny.

I was glad I had my hood up and my hair pulled into it,as well as sunglasses on. My gaze was pulled to a corner table where Danny sat with a pretty blonde girl. It was pretty quiet in the shop so I could hear what was said.

"I had a really good time,Danny. We should do this again. Maybe tomorrow for dinner?"

He was on a date. My heart sank further in my chest if that was possible at this point.

"Yeah,I'd like that." He smiled.

"Great! Well, unfortunately I have to get back to work. I'll see you tomorrow night." She smiled before walking out.

Danny sat for a moment, typing on phone.

"Ellie." The bartista called out.

I panicked. Surely that would have Dan's attention. I quickly grabbed my coffee from the counter before all but running out as fast as I could.

"Ellie!"

Fuuuuccck.

I didn't stop or look back, but I could hear him running. A hand wrapped around my wrist and pulled me back. I turned at the same moment, causing coffee to spill over the both of us.

"Fuck,Danny!"

"Where the hell have you been?" He asked, hugging me and ingoring the coffee. Thank God it was iced.

"Dealing with things. I need to go,Dan. Please."

"No. We have been so worried about you. Please, just talk to me. It's been weeks and all I ever get from you is a short reply if I get one at all. Please,Elle."

I made the mistake of looking at him. He looked so hurt and worried. I sighed, defeated.

"Okay."

He said nothing more as he took my hand and let me to his car. We drove in silence to his house where I followed him inside. I pulled off my coffee soaked hoodie and sunglasses, as well as my shoes before sitting on the couch. Dan had ran to his room before coming back with a new shirt on and an extra in his hand.

"Sorry about your coffee. You can change if you want."

I said a quiet thanks before taking it and heading for the bathroom to change. Danny's shirt was a size or two too big for my small frame but I didn't mind. I sighed once more, noting that he gave me his favorite Rush shirt to wear.

Once I was back in the living room,I curled on to the couch as Danny was in the kitchen. He came out a minute later, mug in hand.

I said nothing as he sat the mug in the table next to me. He just sat in the chair and looked at me for a moment.

"You wanted to talk?"

"Oh,right. Why did you disappear?"

"Like I said,dealing with things."

"Like?"

"I don't want to talk about that right now..."

"Okay then."

Another moment.

"Who was the girl?"

"Oh,that's Liz. I met her about a week ago."

"You dating?"

"No,nothing like that. She's nice, but I was just being nice and couldn't say no. I don't see it going anywhere. There's someone else."

Could he hear my heart break again?

"I see."

"Is something wrong?"

"No,I'm fine. I should go."

"I wish you tell me what is going on. I miss you."

"Look Danny,I just...give me three days. Three days for figure out how to explain everything. I promise I will tell you just a few more days."

"Deal,but no more hiding."

"Deal. I'm sorry but I really need to go."

Danny smiled at me before hugging me again. We stood for a minute, his face in my hair, and my head on his chest holding onto his shirt.

Danny took me home, making me promise to come to the office tomorrow. Once I was alone again, I called Arin.

"Hey,Ellie."

Arin had been about the only person I and talked to so he knew what was up already. I couldn't keep it from him.

"I need help,Arin. I ran into Danny today."

"I know. He texted me about it."

"I told him to give me three days. How the fuck to I figure out how to tell him in three days when I've been ignoring him?"

"Well, get your ads over here. We go to plan."

I didn't like how I could hear the grin on his face. It could be the best idea ever or go horribly wrong.
