Chap 8

I felt like I had slept forever,but it was only eleven when I woke up in Dannys bed. He must have moved me after i fell asleep. Stretching,I got up to look for him. He was nowhere to be found as I spotted a note on the counter.

Ellie,

I had to go to the office for a bit and I didn't want to wake you up. Feel free to hang out until I get back. You can do whatever,I don't mind. I should be home around one. :)

Well,okay. I sighed before grabbing a drink and heading to the living room. I grabbed my phone from the coffee table and texted Danny.

Bring food.

Danny:yes ma'am. Anything in mind?

Nope,just whatever.

I didn't get a reply so I just turned on the TV and played a game for a bit. I must have got really into it because before I knew Dan as walking in.

"Food,as promised."

"Thank you! You're the best." I smiled pausing before shoving food into my mouth.

Danny sat telling me about something stupid that happened in the office as I ate. I nearly choked a few times but didn't mind. Dan's stories were the best. Once I was done,I started playing again as Danny talked some more about life.

After a couple more hours,I finally quit playing.

"Thanks for letting me come over. I love Arin and Suzy,but I feel like they think they have to walk on eggshells around me because of my parents. It's nice to just have someone be normal."

"It's no problem. I like having you around." Dan smiled.

"That being said,I should probably go back. I have some things I want to get done soon. Like,I really need to go buy a car and start looking at places for myself so they can have their house to themselves again."

"Let's go now. It's only three."

"To get a car?"

"Yeah,why not?"

"I suppose. Let's go."

I grabbed my stuff before Danny and I headed out.

"Any idea on what you want?"

"Not sure. I know a SUV since that's what I used to drive." I replied,checking my bank account. I hadn't really spent money since being here,but I needed to be sure on what I could afford.

"And I really like yours too."

Danny said nothing more before we pulled into a dealership.

We were quickly greeted by an over friendly middle aged man who showed me everything once he got an idea of what I wanted. It wasn't long before I was paying and signing paperwork for a black 2014 Nissan Moreno.

"Look,our cars are twins!" Danny grinned once I was done.

I laughed before shaking my head and thanking him for bringing me out here. He shrugged it off before we said our farewells and parted ways for the evening.

I had a feeling Dan told Arin because once I pulled into the driveway,the couple were standing outside.

"Hey,guys."

"Nice car. Looks like Dan's." Arin smirked.

"They're twins!" Suzy giggled.

"Yeah,yeah. Dan said the same thing." I smiled heading inside.

The three of sat around talking about stuff before we played a board game for a bit.
