New Year & Love

With a new year comes a new set of challenges. Do I continue on as I am? Or do I seek that which will alter my reality? I think the answer is yes. I think I will seek that which will change my reality as well as my destiny. But how does one change one's reality or destiny, what steps can be taken?

Hmm, change has already begun. To stop and think about it...I have already changed a little bit, the smallest alteration has occurred, and even with the smallest change, big things can happen. For example, with my new car, I can go further than I could before.

Not everybody understands where we come from or how we got here, but the ones that do, have the greatest impact on our lives.

A stray thought from a month ago:

Not everyone we meet will take us for what we have to say at face value. Not everyone will love us for who we are. Not everyone will laugh at our mistakes or help us when we struggle most.

Oh how wayward my heart is, unable to be completely contained. Perhaps my heart was not meant to persist in such a modern era. So many are those that play with hearts and minds, unable to see the bigger picture or think with anything else besides their external organ.

To those out there struggling against those who only see them as a prizes or an object of conquering: You are worth more than any object. You are not a prize to be won by some contest. You are someone to talk with, to learn from, to grow with. You are the strength that some choose not to see or find.

Too often we focus on whats in the distance, instead of looking at whats in front of us. We injure our minds and hearts with illusions, illusions that only have the purpose of dissuading us from the joys in our lives.

What does love mean to you?

Love is more than words, more than just a feeling. Love is at times indescribable as it is immeasurable. Love exists within our gestures, our words, our unknowings, our commitments and our truths. Sometimes the smallest act can show someone the extent or infinite bounds of our love, better than any wording. But sometimes the only thing you need is words, and sometimes being there is all that is needed.

When you love someone with your entire being: Faith, honesty and commitment are the threads that weave themselves between you, creating a bonding of immeasurable strength, that becomes infallible over time. That which binds connects you, and connecting causes wonders. These wonders cause you to smile at the little things in life, or for no reason at all.

Love exists in everything around us, but we don't take the time needed to realize it. Or other times we struggle to see it. So bogged down with internal strife or disillusionment, we often forget to look for love.

The smallest things can make us smile. A little laughter can change our outlook on the day. And the smallest moment can change our lives.

What is it that make our thoughts race? What are we thinking about when our hearts start to flutter? What makes us feel lighter than air? In the end the answer always seems to be simple and yet complex....Love

My wayward heart seems impossible to control, as well as impossible to confront. Yet it continues to beat in my chest without fail...Even though at times feel that it shall burst.

Sometimes its hard to see both sides, to listen and take in everything you hear. Sometimes its hard to believe and accept the things that are the truth, rather than believing the lies. Lies can lift us up and make us feel secure, but in the end, the truth will shatter all that we cling to.

We live in a world that continously lies to us. War is covered up by shots of only the aftermath, rather than the carnage that occurs during it. Politics are nothing but politicians flinging insults against one another and demoralizing their supporters, instead of focusing on the issues that actually matter to the people. The new/media, it used to matter, but anymore it only higlights or puts out a fraction of the truth, brushing past it purely for the purpose of entertainment. The list goes on and on. There are those that blend truth and lies to make their own twisted sense of reality that they drag others blindly towards.

Pain is instant, but does not linger. Sorrow is constant, but dissipates. Find beauty in sorrow, find happiness through pain.
