"How is she?" Ka Suo asked at the healer when he was done checking on Yan Da.

"Out of danger but she'll be weak. Luckily the poison didn't reach her heart. She needs time to recover." The healer said, getting up. "I'll be back in a few days, Your Majesty, to check on her again."

"Thank you."

The healer smiled, bowing. He then left the room.

Ka Suo sat down beside her. She was still very pale. Her clothes were still soaked with her blood. He frowned about to go and call a servant when another presence entered the room with a bowl of warm water and a clean cloth on her hands.

The king smiled softly when their eyes met. "Li Luo."

~~~
Li Luo looked at the screen in surprise. She almost didn't recognize herself. Her hair was pure white like Ka Suo's and it could be seen that she wasn't longer a mortal.
Ka Suo hid a small smile. His heart fluttered in happiness. He knew what it meant. Li Luo's changed appearance only meant one thing. They're married.
The ones who knew smiled, eyes looking at the couple in a teasing manner.
One though, felt tears gathered in her eyes. Lan Shang looked down, biting her lip. She muffled a surprise gasped though when she felt a warm energy enveloped her, comforting her. Looking up, she was met by the fire prince knowing gaze.
~~~

"Get out." Li Luo stated firmly but also with humor. Ka Suo grinned, kissing her temple. "You're really my wife. You read my mind. Take care of her."

"I will now go. The poor lady already had gone through a lot."

Ka Suo nodded, leaving his queen and Yan Da behind. Li Luo put the bowl down. Close enough for her to reach it. She gave Yan Da a sympathetic smile. She began to work then.

Outside...

Ka Suo petted the owl on his lap. "She's here. Not in good condition though but she's alive. The healer said that she'll recover but slowly. Phoenix did a number on her. Tell the young prince not to worry though. We'll take care of her. He's welcome to visit but after a few days. She'd probably wake up by then."

The owl then cooed, flying away to deliver the message.

After a while, the door opened. Li Luo gave the bowl and cloth to the maid before meeting Ka Suo.

"What's wrong?" he asked when he saw her bothered look.

Li Luo bit her lip. Eyes on the side.

"Li Luo?"

"Ka Suo..." she began. "You said that the mark on my shoulder. The one that signifies are bond is unique and has no replica."

"Yes, because that's my mark and I have no intention of giving it to anyone. You know this right?" The king said, hugging his wife. The queen nodded. "I know." She said, returning the hug.

"But...?" Ka Suo urged.

Li Luo closed her eyes. After a minute, she met his questioning gaze. "I saw the same one on her. She has your mark Ka Suo."

~~~
"Okay, that's it." The fire king stated. Eyes bored into Ka Suo's. "What is your relationship with my daughter?" He stated seriously. The atmosphere became tense then.
The prince became pale but he met the fire king's gaze bravely. "We don't have one. We barely know each other, Your Majesty."
"Really? So, why does she bear your mark?" The king asked again.
Ka Suo looked down even he is confused. "I don't know."
