The True King 10

A small child could be seen walking on the hallway. He was so tiny barely three years of age. He rubbed his eyes. He's still sleepy but he wanted to see his brother.

The throne room was filled with awes and squeal when the screen showed the little boy. Shi looked down quite embarrassed. Ka Suo and Lotus looked at the screen with nostalgia. They missed that young boy.

Little Shi entered the slightly opened door. "Ge?"

He frowned not seeing anyone. He was about to leave when he saw the figure sleeping on the bed. The curious boy moved, wanting to see who it was. He could barely who it was though so he went up the bed, taking the empty space on the side.

He tilted his head, blinking. She wasn't familiar to him. He then went down about to look for his brother again when he heard her whimper. Frowning, he went back up. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Don't cry. Shhh. It's okay. I'm here." He said, wiping her tears with his sleeves. He then settled himself beside her, holding her hand with his.

Once again, squeals were heard in the throne room. They couldn't help it. It was just so adorable. Shuo Gang subtly caught Shi's gaze, giving him a knowing smile. Shi gave him a blank stare but deep inside he was in chaos.

He looked back at the screen. Silently, sighing in relief. At least his younger self was there to comfort Yan Da.

Ka Suo and Li Luo sighed in relief when they saw the young prince peacefully sleeping beside Yan Da. They've been looking for him everywhere.

The king went to the two. He gently held Shi, moving him a bit. Ka Suo was about to remove him beside Yan Da but a scowl formed on his young face and his hold on Yan Da tightened, stopping Ka Suo. Li Luo muffled an amused laugh. "It seems like he doesn't want to be separated from her."

Ka Suo looked at his brother. Puzzled. This is the first time that he's acting like this. Shi didn't like to interact with strangers but with this person... why is he suddenly so protective?

"Ka Suo?"

"Sorry. I'm just baffled. Shi was never comfortable with strangers but..."

"He looked so peaceful with her." Li Luo continued. "Ask Shi tomorrow but for now let's leave them be."

Ka Suo nodded, relenting.

In the fire tribe...

Phoenix destroyed everything that he could get his hands on. He was so angry. He felt humiliated. He screamed.

When he was done venting, he clenched his fists. If he ever sees her again, he would make sure that she won't get away. An evil laugh then filled the whole Blaze City.
