One week later...
Yan Da looked at herself in the mirror. She smirked. She actually missed this look of hers. It's been a while since she wore her armor and shorts. She tied her hair so that it won't get in her way. This is the day she had been waiting for. The time to execute her escape plan.
"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Phoenix said, encircling his arms around her. She tried not to cringe.
"It's a tradition. My ancestors would forsake me if I don't do it," she said. Phoenix smirked, kissing her nape.
"You should prepare yourself then because I am not letting you go," he told her before leaving her alone.
"We'll see." Yan Da stated, picking up her weapons. As if she'd let him win the fight that easily. She decided on a duel between them. She told him that he had to prove himself to her. His strength, his trust on her, his abilities etc.
Outside...
"Are you sure about this, Your Excellency? She's probably planning something." the general said to his king.
Phoenix smirked. "Don't worry. I already planned everything."
In the Dream Tribe...
Old Astrologer King felt the atmosphere shift. His calm eyes then became serious. Not long a messenger owl was sent to the Ice tribe. It's time.

Somewhere in a barren field...
Yan Da and Phoenix stood before each other. They were the only ones in there. It was one of the rules. No spectators.
"Last chance Yan Da," he said. She just smirked, readying himself. "I already told you. It's a tradition."
"So be it," he replied, attacking.
~~~
The people watched the fight with a baited breath. They were all rooting for Yan Da. Sounds of awe filled the air when she did something incredible or when she landed an attack. They laugh when they saw Phoenix's struggle.
They clenched their fists when they saw her flew over a tree and when she spat blood.
~~~
Yan Da stood up. She could see his smug smirk. Her eyes narrowed at him. He did something. She could feel her powers weaken fast. "You bastard. We agreed on a fair fight."
His smirk grew. "I told you. I'll never let you go."
"And I'm never going to be yours," she spat. She has to move fast. Whatever he did, it wasn't only her powers that's being affected. She could feel it twisting in her veins. Poison. He poisoned her. Lifting an arms, she gathered her remaining energy. Launching it to him.

The envoys were patrolling the lands when a bloody figure came out of nowhere. One quickly approached it. Turning it around, she gasped in horror. It was a woman. Her clothes were soaked with blood and she was very pale.
"Isn't she from the fire tribe?" one asked with a frown on his face. He put his weapon up.
"What are you doing!?" Yang Dan asked, covering the woman.
"She's an enemy!"
"She's defenseless!"
A flash of white energy then entered the scene.
"Your Majesty."
The king crouched down, gathering the woman in his arms. "She's our ally." He said before disappearing with Yan Da.

Yan Da groaned in pain. Her body hurts a lot but at least she knew that she wasn't with Phoenix anymore. The air around her was colder. That familiar cold...
She forcefully opened her eyes, trying to see anything. First thing, she saw was the sky. She smiled. It's been a while since she saw it. Next ,was the person carrying her. She gasped. Tears pooled from eyes. Maybe it's because she hasn't seen anyone familiar except Shuo Gang for years that she hugged him.
The king was surprised. Especially when he heard her utter his name and her arms around him tightened.
"Ka Suo..."
~~~
Shock. That's all they feel. Their eyes were wide. Focused on the screen. Ka Suo became pale as snow when they fixed their questioning gaze on him. Even the fire king and Shuo Gang...
But the worse ones were Li Luo's and Shi's.
"I don't know." He muttered, avoiding their eyes.
